THE RESULTS YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR - MY HOPE IS FOR A BETTER BROWNSVILLE AFTER TONIGHT - EVERY WINNER WILL GET A HONEYMOON PERIOD UNLESS ACTIONS TELL ME OTHERWISE

guys just click here to get final numbers

BUT HERE YOU GO

Jessica Tetreau-Kalifa wins third term as the BV predicted before anyone announce.

Trey Mendez comes in first with a strong lead.  If Nurith Galonsky and John Cowen work with Trey in the run-off with Charlie Cabler Trey should should easily win.  Trey is incredibily strategic in his business and as a lawyer.  Ben Neece needs Trey to make downtown this means Nurith and John will push for Trey.

Nurith will win the run-off unless Rodriguez hits the streets and gets his voters to go with Rick.

John Cowen has the money and Pink Ape to win.  It will really turn on whether we have a strong  blind female vote if Jessica can win this.  In a run-off with extremely low voter turn out I do not see the blind female vote as a factor.

For the record, endorsements and fake polls are worthless by the blogs. I know who I voted for.  But I also believe certain people are heading as the top vote takers regardless of my vote.  I said from before anyone announced no one but a highly qualified female could beat Jessica Tetreau-Kalifa.  None ran.  But Pat did damage and will insure a run-off. We shall see how close tonight's numbers are and then how the run-offs go.  We may be able to call the run-off tonight.

For a quicker see at the results at about 7:05 more like 7:15 you can keep on refreshing here

The names appears in the same order as the ballot so as to avoid any claim I am being biased.

LEGEND: WHEN THE NUMBERS COME IN, BEFORE I POST THEM I WILL HIGHLIGHT THE LEADER IN RED AND SECOND PLACE IN BLUE.  I WILL THEN REPORT WITH NUMBERS.  A YELLOW HIGHLIGHT WILL MEAN SECOND AND THIRD ARE TOO CLOSE TO CALL

MAYOR          EARLY VOTES    ELECTION DAY    TOTAL

Trey Mendez            3,353  40.88%          4,253   40.76%  FINAL

Tony Martinez           2,246   27.38%   This loss was a major victory for the people

Charlie Cabler          2.603   31.74%         3,332   31.94%  FINAL

Trey will win in the end.  Galonky's people - Nurith and John Cowen will back Trey in the run-offs. Congradulations Mayor Mendez - well after the run-off

At-Large “A”

Jessica Puente Bradshaw 2,133  26.27%            2,802    27.16%FINAL

Carlos Guerrero                   1,214  14.95%            1,476    14.28%

John Cowen                        4,065  50.06%           5,112    49.54%    FINAL

Ismael Hinojosa                      709     8.73%

ITS OFFICIAL THE RUN-OFF WILL BE JOHN AND JESSICA

Ismael never had a chance but he needed to run to show the average Joe can run.

District 1

William Garza                     135      8.93%

Nurith Galonsky PizaƱa    547   36.20%

Michael Rodriguez               373   24.69%

Ricardo Longoria, Jr.         456   30.18%

Dollar for dollar Rick did better than Nurith.  It now will turn on how Michael Rodriguez's people vote.  He is a good man and will help whomever he endorses.  This is one to watch.  Money may buy the election.  But in the end as Alex Dominguez proved people decide elections not money.

District 2

Jessica Tetreau  BV CALLING JESSICA THE WINNER - only the BV called Jessica the winner before anyone even announced  50.52 % with 1015 votes

Pat Ahumada - note Pat will never be able to over come his past 444  22.10%

Caty Presas-Garcia 550   27.38%
