UPDATE:  Barton true to form unable to own he was fooled by one of his trolls, attacks me for pointing out there is no code of ethics.  Exactly how many times Jim have you complained about no code of ethics and then post a claim Cesar is violating the code of ethics you yourself said does not exist.

Jim is incapable of owning up to any of his mistakes or stupidities.  You just say" I got played by a troll and messed up."  But not Jim he has to attack.

Let me tell you something Jimbo, people associated with every mayoral campaign have assured me each candidate will raise the racial slur and homophobic slur you defended.  Do they need body guards or will you just smirk at them when they point out you are wrong.

"The Brownsville’s Code of Ethics, which is Chapter 38 of the city’s Code of Ordinances, expired July 1, 2005. It laid out ethical behavior expected of elected officials and employees with standard including “ avoiding even the appearance of a conflict of interest, and exercise prudence and good judgment at all times.”

Click Brownsville Herald
This chapter expires on July 1, 2005, unless reenacted, with or without amendment, prior to that date. Not later than 90 days before this expiration date, the city commission shall consider whether this chapter should be reenacted, amended, or allowed to expire."
The BV did approve a comment with the old Ethics Code.  The BV did not comment on it or support it.  The BV waited for a reader to comment.  It seems all of the Mayoral candidates have raised the lack of an ethics code, so I knew a reader would pic up on the post.  But the BV did not agree with it, but just let the reader have his way.  When you do not they post endlessly that you are silencing them.  Well I let him speak, and now point out he was wrong, which is why the BV did not incorporate the post into its story.
So the Rule cited by Barton expired in 2005, and is not enforceable against Cesar de Leon.  But the good news is litigators are ready to move on other issues if the BPUB tries to hire him.  It will be a blood bath for anyone who votes for De Leon.
This is why you never embrace an anony comment as valid until you verify.

I have a question that I hope you can answer with your legal expertise.
Do bloggers have to report income they make from politicians?
And do politicians have to report that kind of spending?
I know you don't engage in that behavior so I'm asking about the ones
that do.
Blessings for your good health.

yes they must report all income from any source. You will note unlike other blogs I do not allow google to tun ads on the blog in exchange for payment.
