CAMERON COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY CHAIR MORGAN CISNEROS GRAHAM, A REAL TEXAS WOMAN, GIVES IT STRAIGHT TO DUARDO

EDITOR'S NOTE ON TEXAS CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOM OF SPEECH

Sec. 8. FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND PRESS; LIBEL. Every person shall be at liberty to speak, write or publish his opinions on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of that privilege;

JUST TOO FUNNY: DUARDO THE PATHOLOGICAL LIAR MADE THE FOLLOWING COMMENT AGAINST MORGAN THIS MORNING BEFORE I POSTED THIS LETTER FROM MORGAN. I HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE LETTER SINCE LAST FRIDAY. I WAS JUST WAITING FOR PERMISSION TO PUBLISH THE FINAL DRAFT WHICH I GOT THIS MORNING.

FROM THE LYING SELF ABSORBED DUARDO CONCERNING MORGAN. I THINK BASED ON THE FOLLOWING SHE PROVES YOU A LIAR AND IS KICKING YOUR ASS BOY.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Well, a few medium-cool words left Cameron County Republican Chairman Morgan Cisneros Graham’s mouth yesterday. No, not aimed in our direction; she apparently knows better than to mess with the band’s lead singer."

Does the word delusional come to mind readers?

Hello Mr. Paz Martinez,

In the past and to this day I pride myself on being accessible and transparent and have never asked for or expected biased coverage. I have often received advice to not talk to any bloggers, however being the daughter of a reporter I have a healthy respect for the media and their place in ensuring that truth prevails. I comfort myself in every way that provided only the facts are published I have nothing to fear from a journalist or blogger who is reputable and will only publish facts that are substantiated and meet journalistic standards especially in terms of evidentiary quality.

I took the time to actually read your writings and application of your privilege as a moderator of late and what concerns me is that you have used your discretion to publish defamatory commentary. I also received word from two people, with screenshots showing that their comments were submitted and awaiting moderation, that expressed support of me. You chose to not publish those however you published libelous statements that, based on the times between you posting the article and they were approved, you approved within mere minutes of receiving them. You published comments eerily alike to anonymous threats I have received to fabricate stories about myself that I can also substantiate as libelous when written and slanderous when spoken. This only started happening during the campaign season, and even Stevie Wonder could see they are politically motivated to maliciously damage myself as well as a candidate perceived as the biggest threat to the local Democratic stronghold.

If you thought defamation would force people to be interviewed by you to clear their names and help award your blog the viewership and credibility you crave, you were very much mistaken.

Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act does not extend protection to bloggers as members of the media who act as an intermediary when it is clear they have curated information and limited it with malicious intent as well as altering the body of submissions to affect their meaning. I have documentation to prove you have meet the threshold to have conspicuously and blatantly use the wordpress platform to promote libel, which not only makes you liable but also violates the Terms of Use outlined by Wordpress.

These being the facts, I can not extend to you the courtesy I have others as you thus far are complicit with malice and not meeting the journalistic ethical standards. I am giving you the option to do the right thing and remove the libelous commentary and hold true to the standards you purport to have. It would not be prudent for me to grant you an interview only to facilitate salacious and disgusting attacks upon myself and others. As I’ve given you notice and have substantiated that you are selectively publishing only defamatory statements, I have a very good case according to my counsel, one of whom has success in representing public figures who have been targeted by bloggers/journalists in the past who abuse their platform and violate the standards of journalistic integrity.

At this time, I suggest you remedy the situation, as I’m extending to your courtesy of an opportunity to do so before I seek legal remedy. This is notice that the information you published in commentary as well as the body of your posts directly is untrue. As it is only required that you be served notice that something MAY be untrue that is published, it is your responsibility to remedy the situation or run the very real risk of litigation. This will be costly regardless of the outcome however my conviction has reached a level that I feel the cost is justified by the public service it is to hold you accountable for your actions. You may enjoy the privilege and protections of a member of the media, however you are also subject to the burden of responsibility and liability under the aforementioned provision.

Regards,
