Before I get into this, I have been over Trump for months.  I believe the Russian investigation is nonsense.  But the media and congress can keep it alive forever just because they can.  We have been meddling in theirs and others elections for at least 30 years.  They have been meddling in our elections for at least 30 years.  I do not see the story.  During the early years of our Republic opposing candidates published disinformation all of the time to win.  So now it is done on social media, so what in the hell is the difference?

Having said that, because no one plays by Trump's rules, he wins every day in the press.  Not only are his core supporters unwilling to change their loyalty to Trump, mainstream America is so bored with this story and Trump's tweets, they no longer care.

This post is more about a historical footnote that is not taught in our schools, but is real.

During the Revolution and the War of 1812, we invaded Canada to make it the 14th Colony.  There are plenty of historical documents referring to the invasion and the US seeing Canada as the 14th Colony.

By same playing field I mean Trudeau is too much of a diplomat to challenge Trump at his level.  He could have said, Trudeau is French not English, for one.  He could have said, didn't Canada beat your ass both times you tried to force us to be part of the U.S.   H he could have said "have you not created a crisis in the NFL by forcing players of African descent to stand during the national anthem which was written by a racist and celebrates the death of the slaves who were fighting for their freedom?

But Trudeau did not.  This is why Trump is winning.  His popularity is going up.  For reasons unknown to me when the press plays at Trump's level the people get mad.  We expect more from the inept press than the president.  This reality boggles my mind.

Maybe the answer to Trump is to stop all press coverage of his tweets, and see how he reacts.
