HOW TO REMEMBER THE FALLEN WHO DIED IN SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF THE U.S.

MY FLAG FLIES NOT BECAUSE OF COERCION, BUT FOR THE HOPE OF ETERNAL FREEDOM

My flag is always properly stored and folded.  For those of you who do not know how to fold a flag, here you go.  It is a great lesson for the children.

A soldier serves on orders with no discretionary thought.  The soldier fights to maintain the concepts of Freedom they learned growing up.  No soldier is perfect.  Many are confused about freedom.  What ever their sense of freedom may be, they fight to preserve it for the people.

The flag is a symbol of Freedom those we remember today died for.  It is not a political tool to compel yours or my sense of patriotism.  When we use it as a weapon we dishonor those who died defending this symbol.

Justice Brennan got it right: "

"To sustain the compulsory flag salute, we are required to say that a Bill of Rights which guards the individual's right to speak his own mind left it open to public authorities to compel him to utter what is not in his mind."

I have nothing but contempt for our federal government, state government and local government.  But they are not our flag or any other symbol of Freedom.  They are the ones who will use Memorial Day for personal political gain.

I fly my Flag with pride to remind me there is hope someday the tyranny under which we live will die and our Freedom will return.  You can protest the tyranny by kneeling at the Flag the government represents, while proving the true Flag of Freedom still sustains your right of  political dissent.

For me the greatest thank you we can give to those who have fallen to preserve our freedom is to dissent against the abuse of the flag for false patriotism and to reject the myth we are still free when we are not.

Our Flag will always fly among true patriots as a reminder of our freedom and our intent to get it back.

If you just play along to look patriotic without considering what the Flag truly means and understanding the soldiers died for its true meaning and not political coercion, then you are disrespecting all who have fallen,
