Anyone who cared to look at the pig knew he was a racist.  My client was black.  It was a nightmare.  The DMN accused me of everything under the sun for wanting a fair trial for my client.  Everyone knew that was not possible with Vic Cunningham.

It was an election harvesting case. The DA failed to produce one witness at the trial or during discovery.  Cunningham refused to dismiss the case.  When the DA in front of the jury rested its case without calling one witness, I asked for an instructed verdict, which is a formality.  Judge Cunningham denied the motion and then became the prosecutor and ordered the sheriffs' deputies to go to the elderly retirement center and to bring any witness the DA interviewed.  One testified she had never spoken to my client the other testified the judge violated her rights.  The horror on the jury's face when she was walking to the bench using a walker will never leave my mind.

The jury foreman after the judge said another guilty one gets off, said to Judge Cunningham he had served on many juries and Cunningham was the most unethical biased judge he had ever seen.  Judge Cunningham stormed off the bench.  In the next election the Democrats took the county.

From the Washington Post - their statement he was a district court judge is wrong.  Just bad journalism.

"Cunningham, a former criminal district judge, largely denied his brother’s accusations. But he confirmed to the newspaper that he had set up a living trust with a clause that would reward his children if they married a white person.
“I strongly support traditional family values,” Cunningham, 55, told the Morning News. “If you marry a person of the opposite sex that’s Caucasian, that’s Christian, they will get a distribution.”
This is the kind of work I did in Dallas.  This is the kind of work Montoya attacks me for.  But finally the truth comes out, Judge Vic Cunningham is a proud homophobic racist.
