TO BE FAIR RENE OLIVIERA IS NO BETTER, BUT IN THE END NEITHER DOMINGUEZ NOR OLIVIERA KNOW A THING ABOUT THE PEOPLE OR THEIR NEEDS

Before I get into this post, a funny  from last year concerning condoms, an item men pay taxes on while female birth control is free.

"AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - Hundreds of condoms that clogged a city sewer pipe led police to raid a massage parlor in Texas and arrest two people for prostitution and other crimes, police documents released on Tuesday showed."

This has to be the dumbest ad I have ever seen.More more important, nothing in the ad speaks to the real problems the people face - and I mean nothing.  It tells you that Alex Dominguez has not even though about the needs of the people and spends his time thinking of con ads.  Tax free tampons or condoms will not result in job training, or assistance with the GED.  It will only mean fewer tax dollars to help with social programs which promote job training or assistance with the GED.

"Oh, my I won the lottery Dominguez is going to save me taxes on band aides."

A FACT

During the last legislative session the Democrats of whom Rene Oliviera is one, tried to pass a lat making tampons, condoms, and diapers tax free. They failed because the Republicans have a super majority in both the House and Senate.   It is an empty promise at which the Democrats already failed once, while telling the voters her knows nothing about the real issues.

THE ISSUES WHICH NEITHER RENE NOR ALEX KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT

Have we heard a word about job training and helping drop outs get a GED?  Alex talks about the drop out problem but offers no solutions.

We need free testing for dropouts to get accommodation during the GED testing.  No one will even consider the idea.  We have thrown all of the underemployed people under the bus.

I spoke with Tony Grey in Rene's office and there is zero interest in creating a system like NY BOCEs as a form of job training starting in high school.  Last term there was a bipartisan effort for Texas to move forward with hemp.  The politicos of south Texas who refused to lift a finger to make it happen, even though the LRGV would have been the biggest beneficiary.

I WORK WITH A LOT OF UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE AND THIS VIDEO SAY IT ALL, BUT OUR LEADERS ARE DO NOTHING TO PROMOTE THIS MESSAGE

In the end Rene only has one thing over Alex.  He can get us chump change every so often.   But the bottom line is neither offers anything to the people.

Alex's Ad was kinda out of left field and didnt detail what point he was trying to make. Another lost opportunity for Alex. If he were to listen to experienced campaign people or truly understand the issues, he could have given Rene a good run, maybe even won.

I agree 100%. There are important issues I have mentions and Alex is clueless. Had he taken the time to get educated on the real issues Brownsville businesses would have backed him. But nothing in his campaign shows change. It is the same Democratic party who which has done nothing in over 50 years.

I already answered your question. You are beyond stupid if you think I will release confidential communications. It is not me with oversight over the TEA, it is the Department of Education for the very reasons of the complaint. The TEA initially violated their agreement with the Department of Education and is now reconsidering their decision. BISD nervously awaits a decision, while the TEA awaits a decision from the Deparment of Education for violating their agreement with the feds to protect BISD.

Know this, the federal government and TEA can join forces to take down BISD, and this Board of complete morons will spend millions of your tax dollars to protect themselves before they act to protect the children.

This is what they want and this is what they will get.
