IS IT TIME FOR CHIEF MUNICIPAL JUDGE BOBBY LERMA TO INSURE TAD HASSE'S POSSIBLE PRIVATE POLITICAL VIEWS ARE NOT IMPACTING HIS DUTIES FOR THE COURT

At this time Judge Bobby Lerma has a duty to investigate if Tad Hasse's private political beliefs are impacting his duties with the court.  I want to make clear two things; the court would have no authority over Hasse as to his private views so long as they do not impact his job; two at this time we have allegations.  I have not personally seen any of this, but that is because I am blocked from Hasse's Twitter account.

Such as I did with the Caller Times, I am asking Judge Lerma to insure these possible personal views of Hasse are not impacting his job.  If they are not he is free to think or write anything he wants.  I will bet he first to defend his rights on that issue.  But as the Texas Constitution says on the matter you are also free to pay the price for your views, and in this case it may be at the polls.

Hasse has only made this worse by not denying any of the claims.  But the BV will not form an opinion until it sees the actual posts, which it seems Hasse will never reveal.

JUDGE LERMA'S DUTIES

CANON 3 B6

(6) A judge shall not, in the performance of judicial duties, by words or conduct manifest bias or prejudice, including but not limited to bias or prejudice based upon race, sex, religion, national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status, and shall not knowingly permit staff, court officials and others subject to the judge's direction and control to do so.

Again I am not forming an opinion as to the truthfulness of any of this.  This has always been my position.  I have never demanded an indicted person be seen as guilty.  I have always cautioned my readers about these matters.  If these statements were made, there may be context to them.  But it is Hasse keeping the voters from knowing the truth.

Issue a denial as to all allegation.  Copy and past each and deny them as being yours Tad and the BV will give you a full page denial and not allow for any comments because we both know the trolls will post nasty things.

I have rejected every troll comment calling Hasse a racist.  I just want to get to the truth of the matter.

These views are not the views we want to send  to our children.

Duardo Paz Martinez is reporting the following graphic was on Hasse's now blocked Twitter account

Given the city's total failure to properly handle Cesar De Leon's use of the N word as to two Assistant DA's of African descent are we beginning to see a pattern with the city of Brownsville?

Again I want to stress two factors:  One because Hasse has his account blocked nothing can be verified; and two, even if the claims are true the city has no jurisdiction over Hasse on this issue so long as his personal views are not impacting his ability to do his job or how he does his job.

ALL OF THIS IS BEING PROLONGED BECAUSE HASSE SIMPLY REFUSES TO OPEN HIS TWITTER ACCOUNT, WHICH IS HIS RIGHT, AND HIS REFUSAL TO DENY THE CLAIMS WHICH IS HIS RIGHT

It also would not hurt Hasse to distance himself from all those using homophobic and racist comments to attack those reporting on this.
