COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR DAVID GARCIA ORDERS MARY ESTHER SOROLA TO TAKE DOWN HER FREE WEDDING SIGNS IN COUNTY BUILDING

UPDATE:

Based on an anony post, I went down to the new Administration building, which is something Cameron County should be proud of, and learned according to Mary Esther Sorola's staff now that she can no longer advertise her free weddings, she is now charging $140.00.  There is more, by 1:30 a major story on JP Jonathan Gracia.

Also included in the order is no judge can post a sign saying which court they are in.  This has nothing to do with advertising weddings.  There is a big difference between advertising on county property for business without permission and informing the electorate which judge serves in which court.  In the old court house this was done.  Resolution of the issue of signs which say which judge serves in which court is under consideration.  But advertising by any judge is strictly prohibited.
