FORMER CAMERON COUNTY JUDGE PETE SEPULVEDA INDICTED

"In March 2016, the Cameron County District Attorney's Office launched an investigation when they received a complaint that county employees had paved a private road, according to the Cameron County District Attorney's Office.

On December 21, 2016, a grand jury indicted Sepulveda on abuse of official capacity, misapplication of fiduciary property, and theft by a public servant."
With Saenz bringing the indictment, it will be received with jaded eyes.  Yzaguirre, while under indictment by Saenz won an overwhelming victory in November.  He did have two write in candidates, but they basically did not receive any number of votes of significance.  It is hard to win a write in candidacy, but it has been done against a commissioner who was not even under indictment.
Pete Sepulveda is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and that is how the BV will cover the story.
If for some reason he is guilty, it blows my mind this continues after Villalobos and Limas.  Further if he is guilty, deal making could see several others going down with him.  If Saenz in fact does have admissible evidence to prove his claims, I see others indictments following as Pete Sepulveda moves to protect himself.

This does not sound like something Pete would do. I am not buying it.

Like I said innocent until proven guilty. Also Saenz has a credibility problem. All we can do is watch it play out.

Jesus, what's going on with judges nowadays. Either they're crooked or made to look the part. God help the next one if he's innocent.

The title of county judge is confusing. In this context he is not a judge. He is the Chief ExecutiveOofficer for the county. Texas would do well to change their title, to avoid confusion.

Again we do not even know the name of the road which was paved or who benefitted by it. It may be in the indictment, but the story broke too late for me to check the system at the court house and now I am traveling.

This needs to play out. The deeper story will come out soon enough.

He is innocent until proven guilty.

If he is guilty there may end up being a broader net which could get interesting.
