DEBBIE PORTILLO, ROSE GOWEN, AND JOHN VILLARREAL, DO YOUR JOB, AND THE SAME GOES FOR ALL BISD TRUSTEES

The Texas AG citing Texas case law said. " there might well arise a conflict of discretion or duty in respect to health, quarantine, sani~ary, and fire prevention regulations."

Click for AG opinion where Ken Paxton citing Texas Appellate Opinion found a conflict might arise while serving as a school trustee, and matters related to fire prevention regulations, which is the job of Fire Chief Carlos Elizondo.

No matter what Mike Hernandez of OP10.33 says we all know there are villains in Brownsville.  We know three of them by name, Debbie, Rose and John.

Given such clear law, why do you three sit back and do nothing while Fire Chief Carlos Elizondo serves the city and BISD as a Trustee?

You will be hounded with this question until the polls close on election night.  Do your job, put it on the agenda and demand an AG opinion to settle the issue for Brownsville once and for all.  Do not allow Mark Sossi to write the request.  He will word it in a way which protects Elizondo,  We need independent counsel to write the request which clearly outlines Chief Elizondo's duties and how they could relate to fire prevention regulations at BISD
