MIKE HERNANDEZ, CREATING AN EDUCATION SILO IN BISD INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING THE NATIONAL MODEL OF REGIONAL OR STATE CREATED TECHNICAL TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR AREA HIGH SCHOOL CHILDREN

Mike went out of his way to find people who will worship him instead of competent people who know what they are doing. His education adviser obviously knows nothing about technical education in high schools and the current models to bring this about.

In 1948 the New York State legislature created Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) to provide shared educational programs and services to school districts within the state. Today there are 37 BOCES, incorporating all but nine of the state’s school districts. BOCES partner with districts to provide a broad range of services that help meet the evolving educational needs of students."

MIKE HERNANDEZ ON VILLAINS AND SILOS

“I just came down here trying to figure out what’s wrong,” he said. “What’s causing this? I came looking for villains, and there aren’t any. Really what it is that I’ve found, is that the culture down here is such that the local government entities, for example, seem to work in silos. There’s not a lot of collaboration between them behind one overall vision for Brownsville, for Cameron County.”

Because the local blogs do not believe in the role of the moderator Chirino supporters have been allowed to post Sylvia Atkinson is being supported by Mike Hernandez.  This is a lie.  Chirinos has Mike's full support, unless he decides not to run and then someone else will be chosen.

Esperanza Zendejas is being put on a world wind tour with local business people to promote herself and BISD along with Mike Hernandez and his desire to create a technical training program at BISD.

She has been quoted several times saying Sylvia Atkinson is bad for BISD.

Mike Hernandez is delusional if he thinks that he is going to control or influence any technical training center at BISD.  This is about spending money and not the children.  The State controls all educational matters, so all Mike is really trying to do is get in on the bidding process if he can get the Board and Zendejas to get behind his desire.

REGIONAL TECHNICAL TRAINING FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL IS THE NATIONAL MODEL, NOT THE SILO APPROACH BEING PROMOTED BY MIKE HERNANDEZ

Locally, we all ready have the South Texas ISD, which promotes medical training.  Under the national models, BISD and all of the other school districts which already feed into SISD, need to seek assistance from the state to build on this model and use SISD for all techinical training for all high schools which feed into the system.  Bringing this to BISD only does not help the region - it only helps those interested in a corrupt school board willing to play games with the contracts.

THIS IS SIMPLE - EVERY INCUMBENT MUST BE VOTED OUT

What I want to know is which candidates are being endorsed by OP 1033. Hernandez cannot be allowed to win under no circumstance.

This is going to be hard. Campaign finance report fraud is the norm in the LRGV. What they do is not report the big donations before the early voting starts. We may see loans to the campaign which are bogus, and then the loan will be paid back on the last filing with the real donor disclosed. i will do my best to get to teh truth

They are going to lie about it there is no way to find out unless they report it which would be political suicide.

How many candidates live in the Southmost area? When you have an At-Large election system like the present system, few are those elected from economically deprived area like the Southmost area. Is it discriminator to those living in this area because they truly do not get equal representation in our political system of education? Should something be done to correct the system?

I have said for a long time trustees should be chosen based on boundaries for each high school. This would insure every high school and the schools which feed into it have a trustee the parents can go to. The Board opposes this because it would be meaningful.

Trying to reason with anyone at BISD is a waste of time.

The election is over. The candidates are refusing to get into specifics. I am not voting in the election at this time. I am tired of boring campaign slogans which mean nothing and demonstrate nothing about the problems at BISD.

Why has Zendejas been given a pass over the false information given to DA Saenz to indict Sylvia Atkinson. Saenz has ordered a coverup. Unfortunately for Syliva her attorney, Noe Garza, is Saenz right hand man and it will be sometime after the election before she realizes she is being played to actually protect the guilty parties.

there is nothing of value on anyone's Facebook page to influence my vote. The candidates claim transparency but cannot post even one real issue with real facts which needs fixing. Pathetic - the entire lot of them.
