HEMP WAS MADE FOR THE LRGV, BUT OUR POLITICOS CANNOT MAKE MONEY ON IT - SO IT GOES NOWHERE

This issue is not new to me. I have been blogging on this for nearly 20 years.  I have made it an issue in Texas, lobbying for Hemp development in the LRGV for some 20 years.  Kentucky saw the writing on the wall concerning its tobacco farms and its Republican leadership lead the battle to legalize the growing of hemp in Kentucky and now its former tobacco farmers grow hemp.

Texas will not even consider hemp as an industrial option for development.  It is not just the farmer who benefit, it is also new industry.  We are made for the processing plants.  We are made for the manufacturing plants which come with processed hemp.

But this is the LRGV, where ideas go to die unless the local politicos can make money on the idea.
