While preparing for New York, about 10:30 p.m. I got an email my sister Dorothy was going fast. At 11:55 p.m. I received another email she had passed.  I feel bad because the Wightman-clan is all in New York for a three day funeral process for my brother in law, so no Wightman's will attend the funeral of Dorothy.  You just cannot be in two states at the same time.

It was Dorothy's time.  She had no idea who anyone was and had been bedridden in a nursing home for many years.

I was not going to tell my sister because she was dealing with the loss of her husband.  But out of the blue she asked me about Dorothy, and I could not lie.  He was okay with it and such as myself happy Dorothy is finally at peace.

Today was amazing.  My niece Debbie hosted a 4th of July party. Maybe 60 people.  We also celebrated my sister's other daughter's 38th birthday.  We are America, British, Irish, Italian, Spanish, Indigenous American, Portuguese, a multitude of political views, and many faiths.  Not a bad word among us.  We laughed - mocked each other.  We mesh such as America should do.  We  respect one another in spite of our diversity.
