LINCOLN PARK GONE WITH THE SUPPORT OF OUR CITY COMMISSION

I am limited in what I can say because I believe if I say what I was told, my source would be exposed.  But a very high level administrator within the city told me the city commission is 100% on board with giving/exchanging Lincoln Park with UT.

It will eventually be voted on, if it has not already been voted on during the illegal discussions during executive session.

Also a city commissioner is challenging me to secure tapes of executive session for specific dates wherein we will hear discussion of legal issues even though they were not listed on the Public Agenda.  In fact I was told it is now common practice for the commissioners to discuss any number of things not on the agenda during executive session and then take informal and formal votes so when the issue is formally put on the agenda the contract is done before the people know what is happening.  I am told that they have taken votes during public session simply saying they are affirming what was recommended by the city attorney even though there was nothing on the agenda.

This entire city commission must be voted out of office.

If your information is correct about executive session exchanges, then there is definately somthing wrong. Bit I question if the elected officials are so ignorant of the law that they would do what you have been told. Plus when did they begin recording on tape the executive sessions, that is not normally done?

I too had a problem with the tape issue. But with Martinez you never know what he may be doing. I can tell you BISD was ordered to turn over the tape of one of their executive sessions. I was suprised because BISD has denied any such tape in the past.

Mr. BWC if the only way these people can be held accountable is by recording them, then let it be it.
I agree with you 1,000% (figure of speech) that this city comission needs to be voted out, BUT unfortunately, their re-elections are in different years and it's always the same people running so it's kind of hard to choose. When a local "outsider" starts to get interested to really help people, someone comes out and starts dishing trash (sometimes unfounded)and in the age of facebook and twitter everybody believes even the biggest lies that come out of politicians that claim they are not politicians. Good example: Donald Trump.

I hate you because I agree with you 1000%. But I can tell you Carlos Marin owns Tetreau, Longoria, Gowen, Portillo, and is tight with Martinez. Mike H. problem is he got in bed with Marin and until he realizes that mistake even if he has good intentions he will have a hard time moving forward.

Notice I still have not given up on Mike H. But it is surreal he has yet to see Marin is his problem.

Didn't Roman Perez make this is sole campaign issue? Where is he now? Looks like these politico wannabes only care when there are votes to be had.

And where is Valley Interfaith? Dead silent They are both con artists looking for the flavor of the day to gain attention.

Valley Interfaith is pure con job looking for relevance - time for them to be forgotten on heap of trash they always were and always will be.

I got confirmation today from another source Charlie Cabler ordered Lincoln Park abandon other than essential maintenance.

As a new-comer to the area you are not hindered by historical knowledge when making sweeping judgements. I don't know if Valley Interfaith is relevant now or not but they played a major role in the successful protest regarding the Volcanus. Look it up.

they abandoned the Lincoln park issue as fast as they tried to claim control it

VI also played dumb on LNG during their so called accountability sessions by agreeing not to ask county judge and port candidates anything related to LNG, this despite assuring anti LNG activists they would do so.
