In New Hampshire young successful women are being sent to hell by former Secretary of State Albright for supporting Bernie Sanders, and the reaction is not good for Hillary Clinton.
"Just days before voting in the first primary begins in New Hampshire, Madeleine Albright, who served as Secretary of State in President Bill Clinton’s cabinet, stumped for his wife Hillary.
"There's a special place in hell for women who don't help each other," former US Secretary of State Albright said when introducing the democratic presidential hopeful at a rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Saturday."

I was in disbelief when I saw the video on CNN.

Years ago when I realized a generational change occurred in the gay rights movement, I ended my participation in support groups.  My generation's battle was different than that of the current generation. And as it was in my generation there are battles between groups within the new generation.  Did you know only about 30% of male to female transgender opt for surgery.  The first well known male to female transgender several years before she died told Opra you can be a complete woman with a penis, even though she chose the surgery.  She noted after 30+ years of activism she realized some women prefer having a penis.  Other than through a social construct there is no medical evidence a penis or vagina define gender.  We know true gender can be identified in a brain MRI.

The debates within the transgender and feminist communities on the issue of penis vs. vagina, or whether a male to female transgender can ever me a female are visceral.  The two groups are attacking one another in addition to internal attacks within each group.  None of this mattered to my generation.  My view is - who cares? - be yourself.  If you say you are a woman you are a woman.  If the vagina is what makes you a woman, how sad you life must be.

This new generation is facing problems my generation did not face.  My generation hid behind darken glass in bars in bad neighborhoods.  Things changed over time and got better, but equality came at a price.  But I cannot relate to the new generation.  So I decided to pass the torch and let them lead for their part of the battle.

These old guard feminists need to move over and allow the new generation to lead.

Sexism still exists to be sure.  But I am confident our younger generation can handle it.  The other day a man said to me it is BS that people are voting for Hillary because she has ovaries.  I am voting for Sanders, but I did take the man  to task.  There is no reason for such language.

The older guard feminists are basically telling these well educated and hard working young women they are not smart enough to know what is best for them.  How is that mentality any different than the reasoning given by men to keep women at home barefoot and pregnant?
