JESSICA "IT'S THE PEOPLE'S FAULT RIVERA FLOODED NOT THE FACT THE CITY FAILED TO DRAIN THE DRAINAGE DITCH BEFORE THE RAIN EVEN WITH A WEEKS NOTICE

UPDATE ON JESSICA'S EXTRAORDINARY IGNORANCE

Now mind you when you read her latest comment remember below she concedes the city failed to drain the drainage ditch next to Rivera after the last rainfall.

" I think that it's just an unfortunate situation and we all underestimated the power of the storm until it was too late. Sometimes nature just really shows us who's boss."

No Jessica, nature shows us some people are born with such low IQ's they cannot see the complete stupidity in their comments.  As these cases wind through the court with BISD and the city in the middle of the litigation what everyone will be asking is, why did the boss not order the drainage ditch emptied before Friday's rain?

Do not blame nature because you are too much of a coward shit to call out the city staff who failed us, or because you lack the leadership to do something about the drainage problems in your district.  I have lived here for 11 years, and with the exception of one year I have lived in this district.  The flooding is not new and the neglect by the city is not new.

There is a drain right in front of produce stand which goes under water at Boca Chica and Security every time.  How many times do they have to go under water before a simpleton like you will understand the drainage system is too small to handled the rainfall?

I have watched this for 11 years.  It is not some isolated unexpected rainfall - no one knew it was going to rain so much.  Stop your excuses and resign so someone can be appointed who will speak up for us. We know that will never be you.  You are too busy kissing the asses of the city staff who failed us.

ORIGINAL POST

"Today, we are working on setting up a community awareness conference with parents and students to keep them informed about the role they play in recycling and keeping our storm drains cleared."

Jessica then goes on to continue to blame the people even though she admits the drainage ditch was full and the city failed to empty it before the storm, even with a weeks notice.

Frank Mar Let's not forget there's a drainage canal there that was already full because of the rain last week and the storms on Friday just caused the top to spill over to the parking lot.

Jessica Tetreau Yes, and the ground was saturated.

Now instead of having a useless meeting with the parents to run cover for an inept city management and commission, how about firing those who did not properly drain this ditch before the new rains came.

Jessica's lack of knowledge of city business is mind numbing.

Check out Portway Acres park.....all the money spent on the park, all the photo opportunities for Jessica, they couldn't drop some more soil there? I was there Saturday , park was flooded everywhere except basketball court.

I never said it was her fault,. It is the excuse making. The commissioners need to demand a plan and stop making excuses

You are right bobby, they cover for the department heads to mask their ineptness. Then they get butt hurt when their ignorance is unmaked for all to see. Unbelievable!
