GETTING EDUCATED AND WHY THIS ISSUE IS IMPORTANT

There is more to the local story, but I am on hold until the family can secure the victim. Saenz, Chief Rodriguez and Art and Jessica Kalifa have no idea what is coming their way. There are federal, state, and private agencies to insure justice is done in this case, and it will be even against the express wishes of the victim. The family will get her the help she needs. It is clear to all involved after yesterday she is the classic victim of domestic abuse.  It was heart retching yesterday to her blame herself, her daughter, while claiming the abuser is the real victim.

This is why the police and DA need to take control.  To get the victim immediate help.  The police officer did not even call an ambulance to have her head injury checked.  It does not matter she refused to go to the hospital. Domestic abuse victims die from head injuries for any number of reasons.  You have the EMS people exam her and then allow her to refuse to go to the hospital.

There needs to be a full and complete federal criminal investigation against Chief Rodriguez and DA Saenz concerning their policy of not enforcing state law on Domestic Abuse.  It came out in the Villalobos trial that a case which was dismissed could have been won on the pictures.  You do not need the cooperation of the victim.  You need pictures of the injuries, you need pictures of the torn up apartment [the police officer refused to go to the apartment to investigate or take pictures.]

The parents want their daughter helped and have asked that I prepare complaints to every state, federal and private agency to bring attention to Saenz and Chief Rodriguez for refusing help to these victims.  We are working on getting her in to counselling for domestic abuse victims - without any help from Saenz.

FROM THE NATIONAL NETWORK TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

"Each day, 3 women die because of domestic violence."

FACTS FROM DOMESTIC ABUSE SHELTER

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE STATISTICS
  • One out of every three women will be abused at some point in her life.
  • Battering is the single major cause of injury to women, exceeding rapes, muggings and auto accidents combined.
  • A woman is more likely to be killed by a male partner (or former partner) than any other person.
  • About 4,000 women die each year due to domestic violence.
  • Of the total domestic violence homicides, about 75% of the victims were killed as they attempted to leave the relationship or after the relationship had ended.
FROM THE DENVER POST

"Victims of domestic abuse live in fear and often blame themselves."

THE IMPACT ON CHILDREN

"Children of abuse feel isolated and vulnerable. They are starved for attention, affection and approval. Because mom is struggling to survive, she is often not present for her children. Because dad is so consumed with controlling everyone, he also is not present for his children. These children become physically, emotionally and psychologically abandoned."

The highlighted part is actually happening, and the grandparents are struggling to help their grandchildren through all of this.

To watch the daughter cry out for the mother in fear tears your heart out.  The victims parents this time are going to use the system to force her into victim's counselling.  This is what Chief Rodriguezand DA Saenz should be doing, by arresting the abuser and then offering the resources to help the victim get help,

WHY I AM KEEPING THIS STORY GOING

It is time the people know all of the truth about Domestic Abuse and how our DA, Police Chief, and Jessica Tetreau are all part of the cover-up.  I am now convinced Jessica is as much in need of victim's counselling as this victim.  She has shown the signs.

Women matter, and since the pathetic female lawyers in this town will not stand up to DA Saenz, and Chief Rodriguez to enforce the law for all women, I will.  Expect the launch of a new FB page which will hopefully bring greater attention to this problem
