THE ELECTION IS DONE AND THERE IS ONLY ONE THING TO SAY

It seems every election gets worse.  Of the people I know who did not vote early, they have made it clear they will not vote today.  No matter how much they distain Tony Martinez, they see no reason to return Pat Ahumada to city hall.

The majority of people seem at their limits with elections.  They have become non-stop.  In the morning the run-off for mayor, and probably district one and the At Large Position, will begin.  We are around the corner from when more and more people will start to announce for the 2016 primary.  Then after that we head into the formal 2016 election and BISD election.  To say the least the people are suffering from election burn-out.

Tonight we for sure will know the winner of the Tetreau/Zarate election - well unless it is close enough for a recount or a problem develops which justifies an election contest.

Even if we manage to turn Tony Martinez out or into a lame duck mayor, nothing much will change.  There will still be zero leadership at city hall, an inept city manager, and no vision.

So to all the candidates, at 8:27 a.m. this morning, I say "good-night."

Election returns and piano bar at 7 p.m.

You need to be more optimistic, someone decides not to vote, move on to the next one. The glass has to be half full, otherwise this life isn't worth living.
