I keep on hearing it - the people just want the election to be over.  Take the day off people - it is going to be a great day.  Go outside and enjoy Brownsville's weather.  With the exception of the run-offs, the election has already been decided.  More people vote early.  It is true we have two days of early voting left, but mailers and door to door will decide those votes assuming the voters have not already made up their mind.

Now stop worrying about the election and go have fun.

Glad to hear the election has been decided. I have always waited until election day to vote but now I won't have to bother.

Well historical evidence does not change based on the day you vote. In one on one contests the winner of early voting normally wins since normally upwards of 60% of the votes are cast during early voting. This is a fact. They only real exceptions is upsets by mail-ballot harvesting.

There is no evidence at this time mail-ballot harvesting will be a problem this time around.

People who read the blogs have already made up their minds. We are down to the impact the mailers and door to door will have on the election.

People are done. They know how they are going to vote.

You still need to vote on election day, but it will not change that fact that by Tuesday upwards of 60% of the people will have voted.

I have not predicted any result - because it cannot be done based on the known variables.
