HAS WILLIAM A. GARZA ABANDONED HIS CAMPAIGN?

Yesterday the city of Brownsville informed me that William A. Garza did not in fact file the last campaign finance report which was due.

Wow....what happens if a candidate doesnt file their finance reports?

BobbyWC said...

Nothing of consequence if he has nothing to report

Nope. It's still going very strong!!!

Then he needs to file his campaign finance report or demand that the city explain why they cannot find it.

Doesnt look good on him

Aside from all that it seems like he didn't budget himself correctly, dudes out of money. He should bow out and endorse Brenda.

Brenda?! LOL we want an electable candidate..youre talking about budgeting Brenda didn't invest a $100 in her campaign. How can she get her message out, how can people know who she is without money..you need money for events, ads, pushcards, signs, etc. In sorry i respect her for wanting to make a difference but trying to make herself look good by saying "i dont like politicians to take my money so i dont take yours" is preposterous. The truth is she is unqualified, inexperienced, and will not win because she never got her her campaign started. Im sure there is many citizens that are concerned or upset at what is going on with the city, but that doesnt qualify or entitle them to run for mayor...its just ridiculous. They dont realize the harm they do by splitting the vote and getting the bad guy reelected again

there is that blind latina vote which no one can predict at this point - although since my issue has been get rid of Tony, I would love to see everyone pull out and back Pat Ahumada at this point.

For everything wrong Tony can throw at Pat, Pat still has the best chance to take it.

But I know people - they will believe they can take it when they cannot and act as the spoiler and then wonder why we have bad government.

The goal is simple - take down Tony - it is decision making time people - if your goal is to take down Tony - then your only real option like it or not - vote Pat Ahumada

You need to publish an article on the mayoral race like you do with the at large, people need to understand the danger of splitting the vote. They need to go with the stronger, more experienced candidate that can defeat the incumbent.

Pat Ahumada is the only one that will be able to overcome the mess Tony will leave, if we put aside our differences on a handful of issues, everyone can't always be in agreement. Using generic catch phrases as slogans, putting up signs everywhere or nowhere and just listing things people want to hear is not what makes a mayor. Pat has proven he is the only one with the vision, smarts and quite frankly the character to guide our city. There is too much at stake to risk it on someone else. And 4 more years of Tony would break us. I'm with you Bobby, vote Pat!

It's coming - I just have a lot on my plate - the rain means I am getting a lot done inside especially work, but it means the outside goes without - I am about to be anywhere between two weeks to two months unable to work outside.

I am working hard to get a lot done before Monday morning's sinus surgery. He will not know everything he is going to do until he gets in there. For sure the polyps are coming out - two previous attempts failed at removing the retention cysts, - finally he says the septum is so thin he is not sure what he can do - it is actually severed and in two pieces - so depending on what he does is how long I will be done. But by the time he releases me the specialist will be doing the procedure to repair the cystic duct. Then by the time he releases me is when the neurosurgeon will decide on whether shunting needs to be done or we will continue to try and treat with medication. This is why I say it could be two weeks to two months with no lifting.

But I will keep typing.

Sorry to hear sir
You will be ok, we need you to keep doing a great job in keeping us informed!
Wish you a speedy recovery.

The day after I had my first deviated septum done, I had my top wisdom teeth removed - to be fair I had no bottom wisdom teeth so the tops were actually already dropping down.

The day after I had my tonsils out I was at work doing customer service calls. I could not open my mouth much

I have too much ass to kick - I can type from bed. I can send runners for documents.

The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not wont. Whatever is ahead for me is already decided and I accept it - so I am cool with tomorrow.

William Garza needs to drop out. He knows he cant win, he is losing support and momentum very quickly, he did not file his campaign finance report which is absurd and very shady..why would he stay in the race all he will do is take votes. At this point he is better off withdrawing and endorsing another candidate. I cannot believe he did not file his campaign report, he has to be hiding something, and that is against the law if im not mistaken

The campaign finance report could be an oversight or the city could have misplaced it.

I am assuming nothing nefarious - it is just time people get real and accept we not only need Pat in the run-offs we need him with a percentage close to or surpassing Tony.

We can do this - people need to put their differences aside - you are either for Tony or against him.

If you are dead set on removing Tony you need to forget the past and just go with Pat - he is our best chance - right or wrong - if Pat gets elected we all know the BV will be hard hitting on any mistakes - but he along with everyone else will get a honeymoon period - well until the first mess up.

It is decision time people - just say no to all of Tony and Galonsky's candidates and we can take back Brownsville.

If I had the money I would be taking out full page ads for Robert Uresti every day. Time to focus on the goal and to let our differences get behind us.

This is bigger than Tony - taking down Tony will send panic through the streets to every elected official - when the people speak and they take down a millionaire no one is safe and I mean no one.

Taking down Tony could lead to a great new set of honest faces for 2016. We desperately need a DA candidate - we need to dump Sofie Benavides. I am on the fence on that one - I am not announcing I am just pondering it and seeking advice.

We need to remove every sitting judge as a way to send a message.

Every county official needs to be moved out.

Defeating Tony will empower the people for a great 2016 Primary Season -

Full disclosure I will be supporting Congressman Vela - he gets his job and he does it well.

But I will oppose his wife if she runs for anything at all.

I am working with a major law firm which might make it possible for me to run for DA. They will not act for me until we have a firm agreement as to the final settlement with the State of Texas. I am not seeking a penny - I am seeking the truth - unfortunately that requires I compromise on how far we go.

Once this major firm and I can agree on a reasonable settlement they will make the move for me. But the sin qua non is full retroactive reinstatement with no disciplinary history. That is not a sticking point - the sticking point is how the State Bar will explain it. We are working on a solution.

You cannot sue someone on day one, serve then on day 7 and take their license on day 10. The money and backing are finally there. The question is how far will Texas go to keep this con job going? I'm prepared to let it go - for a clear name. But they unfortunately have to be able to explain things. And this is where we are stuck. A lot of high profile Republicans have a lot to lose - I have nothing to lose - but I am not a fool. A simple statement of "upon reconsideration an injustice was done." No blame no restitution. We both agree neither party will take further action and consider the matter closed as an unfortunate injustice.

We shall see - but the ball is in their court - but there will come a point I will say enough is enough. The sticking point is really how does the state legally insure I let it go? I am not sure there is a solution other than trust. But I know this - why relive the past when the future holds so much more.

Sir you have a better chance of having your voice heard with Pat Ahumada than with Uresti.
Urestis race is going to be cesar and gerardo...unfortunately Uresti does not have the money or support to get his message out and educate the people of who his opponents really are and who is funding them..we should try to work hard and focus on the Mayoral race as i, and alot of people feel Pat has a very good chance and what you said is very true...we need Pat in the runoffs, and he is the ONLY candidate that can defeat Tony Martinez.

BobbyWC said...

A lor of people came to me and really pushed Uresti - they made the case - what you seem to fail to understand is full page ads backing Uresti are in fact anti-Tony Martinez ads which in effect help Pat - the two go hand in hand.

But I understand you point. The BV is going to be pushing real hard for the other candidates to start backing Pat - we are at the 11th hour and the question is are the candidates in it for themselves or for Brownsville - because if they are in it for Brownsville they have to turn out in large - very large number for Pat Ahumada and Robert Uresti - it will send an alarming message to the corrupt politicos in this town.
