My view is, the more arrests the better.  The May election is around the corner and this arrest sends a good message.

But everyone needs to take note of Judge Tagle's concern - it is not enough to prosecute the small guy doing the dirty work - the FBI and AG have to work harder to get real evidence of which candidates if any have ever sanctioned the illegal conduct.  Until we nail a candidate - we still have not finished the job.

Right now all that has happened is the drug user has been arrested, while the dealer walks free.  The FBI and AG need to double up on nailing a candidate if possible.

Brownsville resident Rafael Angel Elizondo turned himself into Cameron County authorities today following a February indictment on a voter fraud charge.

Elizondo, 64, was indicted on one count of possession of 10 marked ballots, without the consent of the voter, committed on or about July 31, 2012. The charge is a third-degree felony.

The investigation was conducted by the Attorney General’s Office and the FBI, with the cooperation and assistance of the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation continues, and more indictments could follow.

Hi Bobbi, is this person on your post related to BISD Board of Trustee Carlos Elizondo?

Bobbi, do you know what happened at the BISD Board Committee meetings this afternoon. Nothing was televised. Looks like the Dr. Zendejas does not want the meetings televised no more?

Sorry no idea - I will see what I can find out

more indictments Should follow... there are others that should be prosecuted .... this guy will sing like a canary ..

If he is guilty I hope he has proof a candidate told him to break the law.

I know for a fact the AG investigator has interviewed individuals for clear evidence that candidates are authorizing the illegal conduct.

The problem is a he said she said will go nowhere in a criminal proceeding - it is going to take an email, text, or recording
