I accidently deleted his January 15, 2015, campaign finance report, but there were no expenditures on it.  His ad has been on McHale's page since before the cut off of January 15, 2015.  Given a choice between believing César and McHale I will believe César.

Something frustrating to me about the blogs is bloggers presuming no one likes Tony Martinez.  I do not like him as mayor, but I can hardly speak for the entire population of Brownsville.

César's campaign treasurer is Alexander Stillman, a strong supporter of Tony Martinez.  This is neither good nor bad.  For the pro Tony people it tells them where César stands as to Tony.  For the anti-Tony people it tells them where César stands as to Tony.

Tony Martinez has a lot of support in this town.  The Herald has a news blackout on Tony unless it makes him shine.  Being aligned with Tony will get you votes whether we like it or not.

This is not a judgment post - it is a fact post.  For some of my readers it will get César support and for others it will cost him their vote.

The cut off date is the end of the year. Look at the Texas Ethics Commission detailing the dates for finance reports. You don't know if he is paying McHale because he waited until new year. You will find out the truth a month before election day.

And in the end having met him, I am very comfortable he being elected to the At Large Position

Sandy Stillman gave $$$ to Debbie Portillo. He is very good friends with Ben Neece. Real boosom buddies.

There is no doubt in my mind he will be an independent voice and tied to no one but the best interests of Brownsville.
