WHAT HAS TO HAPPEN NEXT AT BISD

In order for Otis Powers and Cata Presas-Garcia to form a majority again, in 2016, they both will have to hold on to their seats, while running a candidate to beat at least Minerva Peña or Joe Chirinos.  In my opinion the odds are insurmountable.

A SIDE NOT ON THE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

BUC gave us Presas-Garcia who then sued BISD, and Carlos Elizondo who treats telling his friends the truth as a fools game.  I will not vote for any candidate for the COB commission who has BUC's endorsement.  The sooner we make an endorsement by BUC a death nail, the better it will be for our community.

Multiple sources are telling me this morning that they have told Carlos Elizondo they are tied of his lies and regret having voted for him.

SO WHAT NOW AT BISD

The new majority has a short period to decide, are they going to clean house and send of message of confidence to the people, or are they going to cut a deal with Carl Montoya which says he will back their contracts if he can stay.

An emergency meeting needs to be called to fire Carl Montoya.  The evidence he along with Otis Powers manipulated the signing of his contract to avoid having Benchmarks put into the contract as a condition of the extension is overwhelming.

This simple move will send a message of confidence to the people and BISD staff.

If they fail to fire Carl Montoya immediately, then the message is this hopelessly corrupt administrator has cut a deal - he can keep his job so long as he goes along with contract rigging of the new majority.  I can assure my readers - if Carl Montoya remains the BV will treat every contract as rigged.

You watch with Presas-Garcia suing Carl Montoya for civil rights violations she will defend him if he is fired and attack him if he goes along with the new majority.

THE NEW SUPERINTENDENT

We need a citizens advisory board of parents, teachers and possible community activists,  The school board needs to set out a standard for the new superintendent.  The BISD administration needs to review the applications for those who meet the standards.  Then those applications need to be forwarded to the citizen advisory board which recommends two candidates to the Board.

This simple process will create a sense of confidence among the staff, and community.

I have no idea what your comment means - I cannot judge you for being jaded because reality requires you be jaded - hell I would judge you if you were not jaded about the process - but you need to be more specific.

The major problem at BISD is the lack of leadership. SA is running the district and the super knows it.the board needs to move SA, BP out. Send them to troubled schools so they can show the district their skills. If the super can not take charge, he should renegotiate a different position.the board needs bring smart and experienced people to run the org. I commend the four members for doing the right thing.

I cannot speak to anyone else's experience but my own. On the occasions I have had the opportunity to work with Berta Pena or Sylvia Atkinson what I saw and experienced was two highly qualified professionals determined to put the kids first. Their approach is always the same - how do we fix this for the kids?

Obviously they have made enemies among those who hate their kids first mentality.

And the idea that because Sylvia is Otis's sister in law they are going to can her is ridiculous. Otis and Sylvia are polite to one another at best - my verification on this issue came from Otis himself years ago. They are polite to each other because the marriage ties require it.

Dam bob you of all people should no what problems bisd has had these past years has nothing to do with being jaded, it is the process of manipulators and the teachers and students are tired of it just saying

I think you are being sincere and agree with everything you are saying.

But you missed my point - all I was saying is I do not understand the post which was made - and went on to say being jaded is expected based on the reality.

How do I comment on a post I do not understand?

But here is my concern - while I agree with everything you said - we have to be careful not to become jaded and assume everything is corrupt.

What I was saying though is - given the reality you and I agree on - I can see how people might get jaded and assume everything is corrupt.

Not everything is corrupt Bobby. BUT Sylvia Atkinson, Berta Pena and Carl Montoya are. We all see it everyday. It's time they go bye bye.

real simple if there is evidence of corruption by anyone - they need to be fired - no sacred cows.

I expect new majority to clean house of all corruption employees

No scared cows.

If the new majority gets caught covering for anyone I will be the first to call them out

Nop sacred cows

There are many things that are questionable and the terms corrupt and corruption are thrown around constantly. On this blog and others countless names of individuals in power are accused of being corrupt. Then why in the hell are they not behind bars? Sensationalization of facts is tantamount to pissing in the wind. Conspiracy theories that go no where do make for good reading but in the short term just make people unhappy and distrustful. Are you helping or hurting the community?

I do my best to use documents. IN this case I have the documents. The right people are about to get them.

I have no control of the FBI or how fast they work. I documented the case wherein it took them three years to indict a prison guard for rape.

What was clear in the Villalobos case is, for years they had the evidence and they say on it because they wanted more crimes.

It is coming - and I am not hurting the community - I held on Healthsmart and made the case and BISD is a few million richer for it - I say that is helping
