POOR MONTOYA - HE CANNOT EVEN PULL OFF A GOOD DECEPTION

For the record, I defy anyone to copy and paste anything I said which questions Cesar de Leon's patriotism.  It never happened - not that Juanito would know anything about patriotism - but political dissent and diversity of political ideas is as patriotic as apple pie. It is an expression of confidence in our Freedoms.  It is an expression of celebration of our Freedoms.  What could be more patriotic?  In my view, if all you have to show your patriotism is pledging allegiance to the flag, then you do not have much.

Montoya would have you believe these two picture are the same picture.  They are not - through his nonsense he actually made things worse for Cesar de Leon - because now it appears he was too lazy to respect the pledge more than once - his hand must have been tired.

It you are to believe Montoya - Juan Magallanes moved into the picture after the pledge with his hand still up and the woman originally behind De Leon moved away [three spots away from de Leon] and was replaced by a man.  .

These were clearly two different pledges - Montoya is just too stupid to see how obvious this was.  No one is going to believe that De Leon had time to drop his hands and fold them while the others were just standing holding their hands to their heart for no apparent reason.  And for the record, anyone else who may have not raised their hand is not running for public office - so the political effect on them is non-existent.

Yes, I saw his Facebook Page - and any idiot can see they are different pictures.  In the second photo the woman behind De Leon is not behind him in the first, and the person behind Magallanes in the first is a man.  I just chose to not overstate the problem by pointing out it appears Cesar de Leon got lazy - but since Montoya insists.

FOR SOMEONE WHO POSTS ENDLESS LIES ABOUT CANDIDATES FOR PAY - MONTOYA NOW FEIGNS IGNORANCE OF POLITICAL EFFECT

At no time did I say this would be a deal breaker for me - I said for many people it would be a deal breaker.  How many times has Tad Hasse on his Facebook page made such alleged mistakes by President Obama a big issue - something as simple as not wearing a pin of the American flag - but now Cesar de Leon is his inept attorney against Frank Morris appears to have made such a mistake and no big deal.

My issue was and remains - political effect - political effect only - as it is nearly every Republican in the city who supports Frank Morris will not be voting for Cesar de Leon.  And based on political effect, many of them will not vote for him because of this photo.

MONTOYA JUST CANNOT HELP BUT LOOK STUPID

I made it clear I would not think twice about  defending anyone who refuses to take the pledge - to this Montoya responds - Wightman must not know the law because the Supreme Court has found you cannot compel someone to take the pledge.  Well, duh - hence why I would not think twice about defending De Leon's decision.  And for the record I do not need a Supreme Court decision to defend someone against compelled speech - it would seem to me any fool understands when you compel people to do things against their will - you are winning nothing but contempt from that person.

And for the record Juanito, I am a major student of the late Justice Roberts - I have read most of his opinions many, many time -

THE GALONSKY EFFECT

Long before Cesar de Leon announced it was brought to my attention he was recruited by Ben Neece and Abraham Galonsky.  I did not go with the claims.  I held.  I have established he works as co-counsel with Ben Neece.  This election will turn on who is and who is not tied to Martinez and Galonsky.  De Leon before he announced because of his ties to Tad Hasse had already lost a large part of the Republican vote.  This picture will cost him even a few more votes among Republicans and some veterans.  But the kicker will be when he fails to denounce the Galonsky deals.

Predicting Tony Martinez's conduct is very difficult.  He seems to want it all.  He cannot hold onto the At Large Seat while trying to also unseat Rick Longoria and Jessica Tetreau-Kalifa, while trying to hold onto his own seat.

His biggest mistake is investing in the Jessica Tetreau-Kalifa race.  In a one on one battle her district will turn out against Martinez.  In the case of Longoria he is sufficiently unpopular that a challenge will not be taken so personal by his constituents.  After all, many are backing Roman Perez.

In the end it will all come down to money and getting out the message.

You watch as Cesar de Leon's ties to Abraham Galonsky become known Montoya all of a sudden will paint Galonsky as Brownsville's Moses coming down off of Mount Sinai.

YES, AND THE HOMOPHOBIA

I rejected numerous homophobic comments by Cesar's supporters because I have zero proof he would support such statements.  Guys, you are not helping him - you have taken a simple political observation which is based in reality and made it into an even bigger problem for him.

HEY BENNY BOY, A READER ASKED THAT I ADD THIS

To Ben Neece:  You would be better off just paying Montoya to remain silent than to pay him to run cover for your boys.
