IN OPEN BID PROCESS 8 LINERS GO FOR LESS THAN $100 A PIECE

Henderson county put 8 Liners in for open bid - click for link and results of he bid.

So the price the 8 Liners were sold for appear to be in the correct range - but now read the terms of the sale.

"PLEASE NOTE: Condition of sale requires that these 8 liner gaming machines not to be used or re-sold in the State of Texas. The buyer will be required to sign an affidavit. The buyer shall not have any conviction related to gambling or gambling related offenses."

Why was no such condition imposed in the Cameron county deal?  With everyday DA Saenz fails to fire the person in his office responsible for the mess, he leaves the public believing he was part of it.  No one is ever going to convince me he knowingly was involved in such a deal with Carlos Masso - the issue is - incompetence by his staff.

I never blame the guy in charge for the gross mistakes of their staff - until they fail to fire the staff member for the gross mistakes.

It is clear to me either someone in Saenz's office was party to this mess, or he has no one on staff who understands contract law and how to do background checks on people your doing business with.
