SUPREME COURT TAKES CASE OVER ONE WORD

In the Lincoln Park case the term "any other" is at the heart of the question of whether or not Rose Gowen's vote counts.  I am as convinced as the day is long if Michael Cowen were to file an interim appeal he would win.

But the goal is a win by the shortest path.  The silence in the case tells me there are negotiations.  I am convinced if the U.T. Board of Regents can find a graceful way out of this they will.  This is why I have even stopped my referral of Rose Gowen to the Travis county DA.  I do not want to do anything which might force the UT Board of Regents to continue the fight when they may not want to.

But check out this story.  In law a simple word and how 9 U.S. Supreme Court Justices interpret that word could decide how long you go to jail for.
