My cataract surgery is June 25th. I am happy to finally have a date. The bad news is, the VA is putting me in for a whole lot of more testing to try and explain while I keep on losing time.  We have known something since 1985, but the national consensus among doctors is a lot of people have the same condition with no known problems associated with the finding.

But now after so many years it could be something which just develops into a problem over 30 years.  So we are back to a lot of advanced neurological testing.  The funny thing is having come to live with this as normal I got mad at the last radiologist who made a big deal about it in his read.  But maybe  he is onto something.

There is debate about doing the cataract surgery first, but if the vision in my left eye is restored, then we know what ever is happening it is not causing the major loss of vision in my left eye.  If we get no improvement then it raises more flags that what we learned in 1985 may finally be causing neurological problems.

I'm just glad a decision was finally made and we are going to get it done.
