DIANNE FEINSTEIN AND FEDERAL JUDGE HANEN HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON - THEY ARE WILLING TO TAKE ON THE FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES

When I see people like Senator Dianne Feinstein and federal  Judge Hanen speaking up it gives me hope we can one day restore our country to its greatness.  Senator Feinstein as a Democrat taking on a Democratic White House over alleged illegal practices by the CIA is extraordinary.  It gives me great hope.  When a federal judge takes on DHS, it says a lot - it says he is willing go forgo any promotion to the court of appeals in order to put the people first.

Click for Video  It is a must watch.  It is not long - the Senator really takes on the CIA.

To give this balance I am providing this from NPR and Snowden.  He is correct.  But this is how it always is with elected officials - none of the abuses matter until they are the object of the abuse.  So yes, she is less then credible in part, but the fact remains because of Senator Feinstein the CIA is now under fire.  I wish we had a world wherein politicians cared about these things when they impact the average Joe, but that is not going to happen.

"Smelling hypocrisy, Snowden said in a statement to NBC News that the situation was one "... where an elected official does not care at all that the rights of millions of ordinary citizens are violated by our spies, but suddenly it's a scandal when a politician finds out the same thing happens to them."

JUDGE HANEN HAS TAKEN ON DHS

"U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen revealed the practice in a blistering court order filed late last week. He said the "dangerous" practice is effectively aiding human traffickers and particularly the drug cartels, which run many of these operations.

"These actions are both dangerous and unconscionable," he wrote

... .

He added: "To put this in another context, the DHS policy is as logical as taking illegal drugs or weapons that it has seized from smugglers and delivering them to the criminals who initially solicited their illegal importation/exportation. Legally, this situation is no different."

It is not always bad news.  But in the end it must be the people who rise up and say enough is enough and force the needed changes to restore law and order to our law enforcement agencies.
