I do have insurance for plumbing problems but it is not worth the hassle of dealing with the customer service.    I do not recommend First American Home Warranty Insurance.  Their customer service is the absolute worst.  They do not have plumbers who do emergency work.  The dispatcher did not want to go through the process of approving Allstar Plumbing.  I needed water.  These old houses with copper pipes are a chronic problem.  It was funny because as I walking into Home Depot to buy a part I knew the plumber would not have, my neighbor walked in behind me - he just had a copper pipe develop a leak.  All he needed is what is known as a sleeve.  Mine was not so simple.

I am happy I was taught a long time ago how to do drywall.  You cannot see any of my patches.

Anyway, within 2 hours of the call All Star was at my house and the leak was fixed.  I got charged one hour plus parts.  $148 is not a lot of money for a Sunday night plumbing job.

These guys are the best.

I just got off the phone with a supervisor at the insurance company and they agreed to refund me the money minus the $60 deductible.  It was not a nice conversation.  Their customer service is real bad.
