HOW MONTOYA TAKES A VERY IMPORTANT STORY OF PUBLIC CORRUPTION AND SPINS IT TO LOSE CREDIBILITY

If Baltazar Salazar refuses to resign immediately as counsel for BISD, then Otis Powers needs to call a special meeting to discharge him.  Only Otis Powers can call the special meeting.  All of the other trustees can be in agreement to fire Salazar, but they are powerless in terms of a Special Meeting.

If Otis Powers calls a special meeting to hire counsel for BISD in the lawsuit filed by Presas-Garcia and Longoria and does not include the immediate discharge of Baltazar Salazar in the special meeting, he will only be proving Presas-Garcia and Longoria correct that he knew about this.

Click for Baltazar Salazar Court of Appeals Decision

The court of appeals lists Ben Euresti as the trial judge who signed the illegal order of expungement for Baltazar Salazar.  Until I get access to the record I cannot verify this.  The court of appeals sometimes will list the elected judge to a case instead of the assigned judge.  It may turn out that a visiting judge actually signed the illegal order.

This was done under Villalobos and not Saenz.  I do not want anyone to be mislead on this.

There is no issue Baltazar Salazar mislead the Board.

I do give credit to Luci Longoria and Presas-Garcia for bringing this out.  The motivation may be all bad, but the bottom line is the community will be a better place with Baltazar Salazar gone from BISD.  Today I am mailing the court of appeals decision to the State Bar for action.

Where Montoya, Longoria, and Presas-Garcia lose all credibility is in the spin.  The school Board is dependent on staff to do these background checks.  At the time of his hiring, there technically would have been an order of expungement in place.  I do not know if the appeal put a hold on the expungement order.  I'm just real happy DPS is watching the corrupt DA's and judges - hats off to DPS.

But here is the deal - Presas-Garcia, Longoria, and Montoya are all con-artist outing another con artist by the name of Baltazar Salazar.  They all know the Board does not do the background checks.  They depend on staff.  BISD Staff failed the Board, and Presas-Garcia and Longoria's pathetic attempt to put the blame on Minerva Peña and Carl Montoya only proves just how dishonest both women are.  A clear case of the kettle calling the pot black.

This is sad, because the truth needed to come out and the Board now needs to act fast.  But it is sad it is only coming out to promote the corruption of two con-artists like Presas-Garcia and Longoria and not to end the corruption in this county.

I will find out  which judge signed the order so the community will know which judge can be bought to sign illegal expungement orders.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Board needs to hire an immediate interim counsel with a limited hire of no more than 2 months until the Board can review the applications of all  firms seeking the job.  There should be a public committee to aid in the vetting of the new firm.  There needs to be posted to BISD web's page the complete resume of each firm and how each rates based on the standards set out by BISD.

Anything less than this level of transparency only means the current majority seeks to keep everything the same.  In the 9 years I have lived here, every new majority fires the then current attorney and brings in someone to do their dirty work - I have said this with each change of counsel.  This must end.

Baltazar Salazar has been licensed by the Texas State Bar of Texas since November 1994, the U.S. Southern District of Texas since 1995, the U.S. 5th Court of Appeals 1995, and is a certified teacher by the Texas Education Agency.

This should put an end to this fairy tale. Check the facts!!!

what does any of this have to do with his attempt to illegally expunge his criminal record?

Special board meeting on Monday includes to initiate removal proceedings against Lucy and Cata.

So if Luci and Caty knew about this months ago are they not guilty of hiding facts from the rest of the Board, just to be able to use it against them in their Lawsuit? I am sure the lawsuit was being planned over a long period of time. What do you think?

They did bring up at the meetings and were totally ignored. Escobedo's favorite saying, it's been noted or cut them off. Why do you think he cut the discussion from 5 minutes to 2 minutes and 2 monthly meetings to 1 meeting a month. He didn't like being exposed. Watch the meetings.

I'm curious - are you totally devoid of knowledge - while presas-Garcia was in the majority and in fact Board President I posted document after document showing how she was in bed with Escobedo with the contract rigging - and now you are suggesting I do not get it.

Presas-Garcia seems to think that the courts will ignore she was board president while a lot of this was happening - it was endless trade offs and she was in the middle of it.

She is fooling no one

That lawsuit is ridiculous! Sounds like CATA is upset cuz she was no longer calling the shots and claiming the profits!!!!!!!!! Now she wants 2 million dollars to make up for her losses? SAD!
