YOLANDA BEGUM CLAIMING TO BE A DEMOCRAT ENDORSING REPUBLICAN RAUL LOPEZ

Click for Document Verifying Begum lied about her loyalty to the Democratic Party.  The Democratic Party by law controls their own rules so long as they do not violate federal or state law.  If the Democratic Party allows Begum to place her name on the ballot I personally will not vote come March or November - in protest I will vote a straight Republican ticket come November.  If loyalty means nothing to the Cameron County Party, then their word and promises mean nothing to me.

I believe in the rules and process.  The people fought in the streets to reform the rules to allow for integrity in the process.  Two sources have verified for me Gilberto Hinojosa is in fact backing Joe Rivera for County Judge.  If anyone has an email or any document which verifies this please send it to me and I will file a formal protest demanding his resignation with the state Democratic Party.  We did not fight in the streets to ban the party chair from endorsing candidates in the primary only to have Gilberto Hinojosa ignore the rules.

As an update to the Raul Salazar, Ernie Hernandez and Erin Garcia issues - there is nothing.  They appear to be doing nothing to defend themselves.  Tony Canales appears to be a big bust, as defense counsel for Ernie Hernandez.  Such as Ed Cyg he is going to wait for his client to be indicted and then bill away instead of getting an injunction against Saenz being the DA on the matter.  This is pretty basic  - If Saenz is disqualified the entire mess goes away.

I am about process.  My issue with all of this is the lack of due process.  Like I said on the day of trial - based on the trial the jury got it right - Raul Salazar guilty.  But now is the time for a new trial motion to show the jury was mislead.  But I know enough that once tainted a new trial will mean nothing.  Once Ernie Hernandez is indicted it will not matter he is later found not guilty or the indictment is quashed.  The taint will guarantee Alex Dominguez will be a county commissioner.

My battle is the battle to insure due process guides the process.  It is for the actors to battle their own wars.  In this case I see surrender by the actors.  I will fight for the process, but not the actors.  If they will not fight their own battles, then no one else should.

If I were running the Cameron County Republican Party I would be busting my ass to make sure every office up for reelection has a Republican on the ballot.  What is going to follow after the Villalobos deal will be a blood bath of Democrats.  The people will be angry.

Locally, a corrupt newspaper publisher can keep the truth out of the paper and a corrupt DA can run cover for criminals and maliciously prosecute innocent people, but there are still the federal and state investigators.  The corruption by Saenz is going to blow-up and cause damage to the Democratic Party - which they will deserve.

There will be lawsuits and criminal repercussions against Alex and Yolanda Begum, Louis Sorola and Mary Esther Garcia [the barratry case is going to the State Bar with a bypass of DA Saenz- Saenz ordered his staff to not take it because Sorola dismissed the federal lawsuit - nice I can rob a bank and when I get caught so long as I give the money back I get a pass], and finally Alex Dominguez.  When this happens I believe Democrats  will not vote come November and the Republicans will win several offices in Cameron County.

I cannot imagine voting anything but a blank ballot come November.  The verification that Hinojosa is endorsing Joe Rivera has done it for me -  my vote is too important to give it to the Democrats - a party overseen by a hopelessly corrupt Gilberto Hinojosa.

I could never understand the women who told me their first choice was Hilary Clinton for President but since she didn't get the nomination they were voting for the other woman, Palin. It didn't seem to matter that Palin was opposed to almost everything their candidate of choice supported. They were voting on one issue -- the vagina. I'm hoping I at last will get some understanding. Please explain to me how voting straight republican will benefit poor Brownsville and the country as a whole. I just don't get this "I didn't get my way so screw you all" attitude. Can you provide understanding? Note - Yes, I can read so I did note that you expressed three different plans in the same post - not voting, voting a blank ballot and voting straight republican but I'm only interested in the one issue.

First of all = thanks for the question - it is fair and honest. It is also extending the conversation, which is when I nejoy the BV most. I am going to post this in two comments. I am having a problem with the computer and this is my second time losing my post. Part two coming

Your issue is basically the Democrats stand for the people and the Republicans do not so how can I vote the opposite of what I believe in. Very Important and fair question

You will remember I already established that I am not a one issue candidate. This is why I can be anti-abortion and still be a huge advocate for Wendy Davis.

More coming - sorry I have a virus which Norton is still working on - it casues ads to come on and then locks the computer

My issue in this election is Wendy Davis bringing possible change. But on the down side she refuses to accept the reality of Gilberto Hinojosa. No one can argue Cameron County has benefit from Gilberto Hinojosa - he is terrible for the people - so if he is heading the party why should I believe anything will change.

I now know nothing will change - he is willing to break the rules to get what he wants.

Do the argument that the Dems are for the people seems odd to me since the person heading the party and breaking the rules has always acted against the people.

On Begum - she signed a statement she would support the Democrat. She lied - for the party to now allow her on the ballot only reaffirms for me the Democratic Party intends continue with the lies and give no meaning to rules of needs of the people.

So if I have Hinojosa heading the party who has never done anything for Cameron county corrupting the process in the election, and the local party making a mockery of promises to support Democrats - why should I believe they will ever do anything for the people?

More likely than not I will just vote a blank ticket - but a straight Republican ticket could happen as a protest.

I want a true Democratic Party in Texas. It is the endless game playing and lies by the Democratic Party why the people in Texas suffer under the Republicans.

If I vote for those who keep the lies and deception going how am I voting for someone who is going to help the people?

I will vote for any Democratic who denounces Gilberto Hinojosa and the local Democratic Party for allowing Begum on the ballot. At least these Democrats will be indicating they stand for something. This would be a fair compromise.

I think I will now turn my attention to going after the state party [namely Gilberto Hinojosa] - and the local party if they allow Begum on the ballot.

We have to fix the Democratic Party if we are ever to get the people to vote again. This is a reality the Democrats have been ignoring for 20 years, and the Republicans love it.

Again thanks for a great question

It concerns me as to why this woman is soooo desperate to even go as far and cross her party lines. Clearly, this woman does not make rational decisions.

I can see someone saying forever reason they cannot support someone. that is fine. But to then endorse someone from the other party is simply wrong. she should consider running as an independent. i get why some people cannot support either the Dems or Repubs. i am actually fine with Dems and Repubs voting for independents
