Former Valley mayor arrested in 8-liner raid

HEADLINE - BIG CHANGE IN CAMERON COUNTY - NO SACRED COWS

It is not unheard of for law enforcement to bring in one news station to cover a raid.  It is a lot easier to control leaks from one source than a thousand.  ValleyCentral.com was obviously given access to the raid - see below

Former Valley mayor arrested in 8-liner raid: Federal, county, and local authorities raid illegal gambling business reportedly owned by a former mayor.

BUT THE REAL BIG STORY IS - No one leaked this - DA Saenz has sent a very, very clear message - no sacred cows.  This is good - very good.  Pat Ahumada clearly thought he was protected from being raided.  He clearly thought someone would give him a heads up - nope - no sacred cows.

NO SACRED COWS - THIS IS THE MESSAGE EVERY LOCAL POLITICIAN SHOULD BE GETTING THIS MORNING

Pay attention Enrique - no sacred cows - there is no one protecting you - time to do the right thing.  Remember Enrique - the first in gets the immunity - the rest get jail - Ted Parker is going down.

I saw the news reporter say two locations were raided and that the ex mayor was the owner of the Gold Mine .She didnt say he owned both.Makes you wonder ...Bad reporting? Who owns the property in Port isabel?
