BELA GOES TO THE ZOO

If Bela could, she would have taken home the baby gorilla. It was so funny because a female grabbed the baby and put him on her back and brought the baby to the window for Bela to get an up close look. It made her day. I was happy with how many animals she knew by name. Bela and I were both sad to learn the zoo no longer has any elephants.

HERE IS AN IDEA FOR WINTER TEXANS

We met a man who for $80 bought a family pass plus one.  Every day after school he takes his kids for a walk around the zoo.  It is not about just the zoo, it is about a family exercising together every day.  Plus, I am sure with each visit the kids are learning more and more about the animals.

The mall allows people to do their morning walk around the inside of the mall.  The city should offer discount 6 month or yearly passes for winter Texans and seniors.  They should market the zoo as a place to get their daily exercise through walking.  The money helps the zoo, and the exercise is just - well - good  for you.

Sorry for the tease about the breaking story - but had I said "Bela goes to the Zoo" who would have come back to read the story?

What a nice article and a great idea for utilizing the zoo to get an exercise program going. This should be promoted and made affordable. As stated previously, Bella is a lucky little lady to have you in her life. Have a great weekend!

But remember the idea of using the zoo for family exercise was from a father I met at the zoo - just one of Brownsville's many parents putting their kids and family first

Bella is so pretty. God Bless her and all who care for her.

She has green eyes like mine, but I can assure you I am not her daddy - just a good friend - for me Bela has been an angel sent from god

The other day Dr. patino asked her if she can speak and she said yes. he then asked if she can ask her mommy for anything she needs (these are questions designed to measure her development)

Any way to the last question she said "I told you I like to talk"

She did not know she was being rude, but she is that way - she loves to talk - she loves to shop - she loves new shoes - It blows my mind how she can have a long conversation with someone on the phone

She is so precious and I hope she stays in your life for ever. I agree children do light up the world with their honesty and innocense. :))
