DALLAS MAYOR MIKE RAWLINGS TAKES LEAD ON DOMESTIC ABUSE

"We want to make it known that any violent act toward a woman will not be tolerated by the men in the city,” Rawlings said.

The mayor also introduced his idea for a public awareness campaign, “to change the male culture” in the city, that will launch in the spring. He said he has an executive team selected already, including Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter’s House, State Rep. Rafael Anchia and Dallas Cowboys Jason Witten and Marco Rivera."

Our DA is proposing 3-10 days in jail which will in fact be termed "timed served"  while they were waiting to post bail - which means no jail time after conviction.  Can Misogynist Saenz say "We want to make it known that any violent act toward a woman will not be tolerated by the men in the city?”  Hardley

This is a stark contrast to anything we would see coming from our mayor or DA.  Today in my continued adventures to help this victim of domestic abuse, I learned that it is a violation of the contract the landlord has with the Brownsville Housing Authority to evict a victim of domestic abuse for calling the police.  Based on my meeting I am hopeful the BHA authority's lawyer will be meeting with the president of the corporation which owns the apartment.  It was an easy discussion with no excuses.  The BHA was very helpful at every level.  To a person with whom we met they understood - zero tolerance when it comes to domestic abuse.  The victims will be protected.

Compare this to King Misogynist Saenz who continues to refuse to call this victim and fix the matter.  People are judged not by the propaganda their office puts out, but by their actions.  Misogynist Saenz's actions speak volumes about how he views women.  It appears nothing has changed since he was DA last time around.
