JULIAN CASTRO TO SPEAK AT THE LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

A key part of his speech will be why cities need to invest in themselves if they are to move forward.  You must invest money to make money.  Unfortunately for Brownsville, no one in our leadership is willing to stand up and say we need to sell bonds if we are to invest in our community - such as a new airport on 511.  Our inept leaders will continue to turn a blind eye to the fact Boca Chica cannot handle further develop of the airport.  It is time our inept leaders just declare Boca Chica Brownsville's largest parking lot.  Brownsville's leadership idea of leadership is flying to Washington to ask for charity to build bars downtown so that our children can aspire to minimum wage jobs in the service industry.

Here is the story.
