EDITOT'S NOTE:

In the days to  come, I will explain why I had to shut down the BV prior to the election.  The BV is back - for now - its is election night.

In honor of tonight, and while expecting a long night - I made a homemade Blueberry Pie - my oh my - a good pot of coffee - I am set

BISD UPDATE - PRESAS-GARCIA WINS

http://www.bisd.us/   I do not know if these numbers are final - Powers - Presas-Garcia, Pena, and Gil Martinez - for Now I do not see how Presas-Garcia loses

PRESIDENTIAL REELECTION

The national newsmedia will not be releasing presidential results until about 10 p.m. our time.  As the links below indicate, as the polls close in swing states, the BV will be providing presidential election results ahead of the national newsmedia.

UPDATE:  I guess with everyone knowing the west coast will be going to Obama, the networks have chosed to possibly call the election before the west coast polls close.  This is a new policy for the networks - but I guess with all of the data available on the internet they really had no choice but to join the club

NYT

FLORIDA - CNN SUGGESTING OBAMA WINS - A REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATIC TALKING HEAD ON CNN ARE BOTH CALLING THE ELECTION FOR OBAMA

CNN reporting a 1 point lead for Obama with 53% reporting 50 to 49%

The consensus is if Romney loses Florida he loses - it is way, way too early to call

OHIO

hopefully the above link will update to include tonight's results

VIRGINIA

There are more swing states - but for no this is all I will cover - anyone one of these can decide the election.  Most people are carefully watching Ohio and Florida.  If either goes for Obama it may be over.

CAMERON COUNTY
AND BISD RACES

Rodger Ortiz is not reporting - his resignation could not have come sooner - the Herald has all Cameron County Dems winning save Pct. for Constable
