TAKING A HOLIDAY FROM THE HELL WHICH IS BROWNSVILLE

To the business community, if you are going to wait for Tony Martinez to lead Brownsville out of its hell hole, your business is screwed. Since Brownsville has no mayor, it is now up to the business community to take a stand for Brownsville. Tony through his incredible incompetence compromised the integrity of an international corporation and possible future employer in Brownsville.  Such as no one in city government spoke up of Pan Am, Tony, without a lot of pressure from the business community will not speak up for Aeromexico.

BV back tomorrow - I have to nurse this headache.

He won't speak up becuz he is as guilty as Melissa Zamora.

they are both incrediblity guilty of incompetence - beyond that I have seen no evidence.

the bogus complaints coming from Quintanilla and Montoya through their posts that I am covering for MZ are just that.

When they were begging Brownsville for the $1.5 million they used my quote about MZ's history of conflicts of interest to get her to ignore my position and give them the $1.5 million - first they defend her when it serves their interests and now they attack her.

The BV's position has never changed - she has since day one had a major problem with the appearance of conflict of interests.

All I have said about MZ is - her response - she says she is not getting paid - no one has produced any evidence to the contrary - what Montoya, Mchale and Quintanilla do is terrorize anyone who points out they have no evidence for their claims - they want to control the discussion by beating people down - it will not work.

If anyone has evidence that MZ is going to make money on the deal - the BV will be the first to post it - but for now there is zero evidence of the claim

Why was MZ not asked for her response to the claims - answer - they did not serve the story.

What I know for sure is, brownsvilel remains a hell hole because elected officials never defend the city.

I do not care if MZ and Tony Martinez suffer permanent damage to their reputations over this - the damage is well deserved - my issue is the damage to Aeromexico and Brownsville's ability to attack futire corporations to Brownsville.

Martinez has been mayor for what, a month or two? And we still have problems in the city? He must be incompetent! Unless you are listening in on his phone calls and office conversations I say it is to early to pass judgement. He may turn out to be an ass, after all he is a politician and that's a good start but I say the evidence is not yet in. I also say it is unfair to define someone over one issue. Especially an issue that has not yet been played out.

Normally, based on your reasoning I would not take issue with you, but this is a big one - it was total incompetence in how it was handled.

he seems to want to run from anything controvertial - this is okay for commissioners but not the mayor

The fact he did not see this storm coming raises serious questions about his judgment.

yes he is a very nice guy - I do not believe anyone will ever tie him to corruption - but they will tie him to incompetence - this is not good for Brownsville.

can you imagine any possible reason why he is not speaking out to defend Aeromexico

I get how all of the facts are being manipulated and information is being used in a misleading way because people do not know better that what is being said is all bogus

But the mess by appearance is 100% his fault - and he remains silent.

Have you heard if Martinez wants to have his own staff at the city?

I have no idea - what I have heard is with Ahumada gone there is a sense of calm at city hall - aclm is not always good though

Dont bash the mayor just yet. Give him a chance....I am....we may not and may never like his decisions......but he sure beats Pat

He is a millions time better than Pat Ahumda at the social game and presentation - but he may be the estreme opposite which is also not good - see today's post -

Tony Martinez will never do anything illegal and he will always strive to have a professionally run meeting.

And do note, none of the problems inherited by him are his problems - these are problems facing the entire commission - no real judgment on these issues can come to the new commission until after the budget process - taking more money from the PUB will not go over well with very many people.
