MELISSA ZAMORA RESPONDS TO MONTOYA'S DEFAMATION ON HER AND AERO MEXICO

[MY PERSPECTIVE:  How did I come to this story?  When I first read about it, I thought - no - here we go again.  MZ does have a public perception of working with vendors.  This public perception feeds the distrust.  Then I think - no way - Aero Mexico is too big to be caught up in something like this.  I also think - in my investigation of Mayor Martinez, does he have a history of such game playing?  I cannot find anything.  This lead me to believe there is something more to this story.  We now have the story - MZ has no financial interest in this deal.  There is actually a method to critical thinking.  If your goal is to get to the truth, you analyze the facts before putting your bias ahead of the cart to settle a score.  Also doing a bogus story to stir trouble is not being a community advocate - it is stirring trouble as a sport regardless of the consequences on the community.]

It blows my mind how reckless a paid hack can be to appear relevant. The real issue for me in this Aero Mexico deal is a major corporation getting caught up in the mess which is Brownsville's politics and the paid scumbags of the most corrupt like Ben Neece, Pat Lehmann, and Cata Presas-Garcia to destroy Brownsville to get what they want.

The BEDC and Melissa Zamora do get an "F" in terms of how they handled this. There is and was no wrongdoing -like I have said before - the appearance of wrongdoing is always worse than actual wrongdoing. From square one they should have clarified Melissa's role in Aero Mexico.

I want to be clear - there is zero evidence of wrongdoing - nada - nilche - but this does stop Montoya - his deal wherein the taxpayers were to be on the hook for a minimum of $1.5 million to Fly Frontera died when the truth came out. Now comes an internationally recognized corporation, not asking that the taxpayers pay per diem to Montoya's buddies and convicted felon at Fly Frontera and not asking that the taxpayers pay to transport the planes to Brownsville, and Montoya feels a need to just publish a story 100% false at every level.

Carlos Masso certainly knows Montoya's reputation in lying on a near daily basis to destroy Brownsville. It tells us the type DA he will be - more of the same corruption and cover-up.

BELOW IS MELISSA'S RESPONSE TO MY REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION

"Aeromexico has been in the works for several months. I am often asked by BEDC to meet with prospects due to my marketing experience. I am proud to be a part of the Team of folks who work diligently to bring business to Brownsville. I have always volunteered to do so, and I will continue to volunteer to do so. It is part of being a City Commissioner. I proudly do it.

I was asked last week by BEDC to join in a meeting with Aeromexico. The mayor and I met with marketing representatives of Aeromexico, but in two separate meetings. We had a two-hour meeting where I promoted our region -- both SPI and Brownsville. I am familiar with what their market would be here -- the business traveler and the tourist. We brainstormed marketing strategies, and I was asked to assist with future ideas with BEDC and Aeromexico. I do all of this on a volunteer basis. Not only do I have experience marketing our region, but I've previously worked (on a volunteer basis) with the State's EDC team and the State's tourism team to promote Texas. It's what I love to do.

It seems that proponents of Fly Frontera are upset that we so quickly landed a deal with Aeromexico. They want it to fail, because they failed. Comparing Fly Frontera to Aeromexico is an apples-to-oranges comparison. Aeromexico just this year announced an aggressive expansion plan and investment -- all detailed at www.aeromexico.com. They are a reputable airline.

We want Aeromexico to succeed. We all must be advocates for this new flight service. Fly Frontera supporters will do what they can to see it fails, because it's not them landing the deal. And, we all know what kind of deal that was.

Melissa"

Guys, I have been cleaning out old emails telling me there is a post - I may have accidently deleted someone's post before posting it - if I did - sorry - just repost it.

Maybe Montoya would support the Aeromexico proposal if his good friend, Carlos Q., would market the flight services.

There is no doubt that this a better deal for Brownsville than Fly Frontera. Do you think that they might ask for incentives at some point?

I do not know - my only concern with the current plan is the flights are not daily. This could be a problem - many times business people like to go roundtrip in one day - when I was still doing a lot of business in Dallas and Houston I would go round trip in one day.. Several years ago I even did a one day roundtrip to Chicago.

At this time I see this as the only negative.

AA and Continental incentives have paid off for Brownsville - I have to see the deal if it is asked for before I can form an opinion.

But if they cannot fill the planes on a part time basis - then I would say the deal may not be good for Brownsville -

Again my only real concern is they do not have daily flights, which I find to be essential to making it work.

Now the planes will hold a lot more luggage than the planes Fly Frontera wanted to use - for the tourist coming to shop this is important.

We need to wait and be patient. I believe there are enough potential customers to fill at least two of these commuter jets every day each way - let's hope I am right and Aero Mexico immediately expands the number of flights.

If they have daily flights I would not mind some incentives to give them time to build their client base - but not for just a few flights a week - which I believe will actually hurt their chances at success.

The reason lies work is you can always count on an idiot repeating them - why? - because the ignorant only have their delusions as a defense mechanism to their own misery.

The BV will not print through comments wherein you have no evidence to support your claims. When your only source is a patholigical liar and promoter of pornography it tells me you have no standards.

You know where your comments are welcome - go post them there.

Juan Montoya supported and defended a con artist in the Fly Frontera fiasco. Fly Frontera was going to steal almost 2 million from the city Juan supposedly protects. Commissioner Melissa Zamora fought them so of course they are looking for revenge. So now they're going to hurt the city by scaring Aeromexico away. What's wrong with the picture?

BobbyWC said...

I have never seen any evidence Fly Frontera was going to steal anything from Brownsville. But there were a lot of red flags - The guy never got permission to do business in texas - as of the last time I checked. the COB was going to allow him to comingle the money for Fly Frontera with his own existing corporation. The BEDC report raised serious questions about their financial stability.

This deal would have been laughed out of the building had they been negoiating with private business.

Interference with business relations that is what it is all about. I see thye shit hitting the fan.

BobbyWC said...

First of all Carlito - you accuse everyone of interference with business relations - although you have zero knowledge of what it means.

I know the post is yours because I have your IP address and you use the same stupid language every time.

So Carlito - complete your conspiracy theory - who is counsel for AeroMexio in the US - do tell.

And tell us how does someone interfer with the business dealings of another corporation which at the time was not even authorized to do business in Texas - also do tell us how is multiple companies competing for Brownsville money means anyone who does not get it can sue the other companies? - because the facts are - the first to ask for the money was Pan Am - does this mean they can sue you for interfering with their business relations?

Idiot

Carlito must be having one of his moments - he wants all of Brownsville to know he will be suing me this week and will kick my ass all over Brownsville - Carlito fails to realize the threatening posts have his IP address on them.

The last time Carlito sued me the judge dismissed the lawsuit without even having to file an answer.

Texas has laws for people like Carlito - a frivilous lawsuit can result in Carlito having to pay all of my attorneys fees and costs and then some.

Further if I can prove he is using his house in as business office the homestead exception fails, and I along with everyone else he owes money to will be allowed to collect on the day the house is sold on the court house steps.

the FACT MZ works for elite performance whose owner is very tight and a major "contributor" to the martinez campaign PLUS the FACT she lives in one of the mayor's rent houses, MELISSA ZAMORA IS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY THE MARTINEZ REGIME!!!!!

BobbyWC said...

And this is why she went against the mayor on the T-Mobile vote? people like you love your stupid rationalizations -

the one thing I know for sure - and like I said - the City, Mayor and Zamora created this perception mess through incredible and shocking incompetence - it is so shocking that any reasonable person must support an investigation using an open records request - regardless of who is making the request - while no one has presented an ounce of evidence of wrongdoing - in the end the commuity is served through an investigation by anyone willing to pursue the matter.

I am beyond pissed that Zamora and Martinez allowed Aeromexico to be brought into this mess - if aeromexico had a hlaf a brain it would simply inform Brownsville it no longer is interested in the deal.

BIG WHOODIE DO that she went against the T-Mobile vote. It wasn't going to cost the citIzens of Brownsville almost 6 MILLION DOLLARS IN NEW DEBT. AND I BET YOU NOT ONE OF THEM "READ THE BILLS" OF WHAT THEY VOTED ON!!!!

So let me see if I understand you correctly, you're not disturbed that melissa rents a house from martinez???? All she has to do is pay her rent with YES VOTES FOR STARTERS!!!!!!!!!!
And you're not disturbed that melissa zamora works for one of martinez's major financial contributors for his "mayoral campaign"??????? She just voted herself a salary increase!!!!!!!!
BTW it would be a good idea for you Bobby, to PUBLISH ALL THE CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTORS OF THE NEWLY ELECTED JUST TO SEE & KEEP TRACK WHOSE GONNA GET PAID BACK WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!
ROOMER HAS IT martinez FUNDED CHAVEZ AND JESSICA'S CAMPAIGN IF SO THEY HAVE TO PAY HIM BACK WITH "YES" VOTES!!!!!!

THE CULTURE OF CORRUPTION SEEMS TO NEVER END WITH THE DEMOC-RATS RIGHT. LOL LOL LOL LOL WHERE ARE ALL OF THE "REPUBLICANS" IN THIS MESS ???? LOL LOL LOL LOL

WAKE UP BROWNSVILLE !!!!!!!!!!!

You are really challenged with the English language - the issue was "Melissa's conflict of interest" all I sad was Montoya and Quintanilla used my reporting on the issue as a way to get Mellisa to ignore my postings on Fly Frontera. now that it serves their needs all of a sudden I was right.

You cannot point to one vote wherein Melissa has been the vote which got Tony Martinez what he wanted - evidence - non -

"RUMOR" this is why Brownsville is a hell hole because idiots like you live for gossip and rumors

When you have evidence let Brownsville know - right now you have nothing.

But the facts are the BV took the lead that there is a major appearance problem - that is not denied - but appearance is not evidence.

The BV has also taken the lead that MZ and Tony have done damage to the city through their mismanagement of this issue. The evidence on this is black and white - I deal in evidence
