Fly Pan American Airways
PAN AM SAYS THANK YOU TO BROWNSVILLE AND CALLS FOR OPEN GOVERNMENT AND A DEFINED PROCESS FOR SEEKING INCENTIVES FOR AIR SERVICE

Take the time to read the press release - it is good - it speaks to the value of open government and calls for the COB to define a process for seeking incentives for airline service and make it known to the entire industry.  Pan Am is calling on the city to do this while it considers Pan Am's offer.  Pan Am is not asking to be the only one allowed to bid - it is calling for a more open process so that other companies may bid against Pan Am.  Jim Gallagher of Fly Frontera never supported such a process.  He was and remains about back door deals.

The Calabazistas, Camarillo, Ahumada, Atkinson and Longoria were so desperate for any deal they were willing to by pass an open process.  Guys I will bet the farm Camarillo has already told Jim Gallagher that the deal is back on if he is elected.  He has put out lies to cover the fact he was a supporter of this - Camarillo needs to man up and confess judgment to his mistake rather than continue with the lies.

Pat Ahumada
John, it is good that you can disagree with others including with me based on what you believe and do it in a constructive manner. Just as you have your opinion, I have mine as mayor, which I based on the information I have at hand and the many other resources of experts in this proposal, along with the investigation and analysis performed on the proposal and the company at hand. We have been searching for 20 years to get a international flight and the opportunity is here. If now is not the time, when is? All studies show international service is on the increase and based on our indicators this is the time to seize the opportunity to re-establish international flights to Brownsville. I cannot govern worrying about votes, but must govern based on what I was charged to do, which is to make decisions based on the over all good and not based on a few very opinionated individuals who may or may not have the city's best interest at heart. I for one know many have made this a personal issue, not based on the merits of the proposal, but based on a dislike for a certain individual. It is my duty to set aside the personalities and politics for the common good, which is what I am doing in my decision making. I voted to table it once to give those who oppose it more time to submit their facts, which they have and will be responded to adequatley at the next time this issue is taken up for consideration and action. The question is, if it is not now, when? Do we wait another 20 years for the opportunity to know at our door? There is no such thing as RFP's for this type of service. All airlines have had the opportunity to submit a proposal, as has Fly Frontera. The support by the business community locally and at the destination points is there for this project and welcomed. We will capture the market that is afraid to drive. We will create jobs and opportunities that we cannot afford to pass in order to appease a small group that does not speak for the majority. The elected officials speak for the citizens of Brownsville and my indicators is that by and large many support this venture. Although, they may be the silent majority at the council meetings, I have been in touch with them. I firmly believe we must seize the opportunity, otherwise we may not get another chance to do this. Thank you!

You're a fnunnt man sorry charlie - I have rejected every rumor ever sent to the BV on you, but you keep on submitting endless rumors about Pan Am - get a life - get therapy - get help - when you have facts I will allow for them - also exactly how many times to you need to be taught how to spell his name?

Look Idiot, go to grammer school and learn how to compose sentences. Check out the web site, unless you are afraid of the truth.

first of all idiot it is spelled grammar - second if you click on the page it is not a real airline - on the about page it tells you that - you cannot make reservations because it is not real

OMG. Whoever is posting about the panam-airways.com link is an idiot. You only have to read the first two lines of the info on the home page to realize the writer cannot speak English. Check out the stewardess: is that pic from 1960 or what?! If the anony is Atkinson or Ahumada, well, I'm not surprised. They share a brain.

Is anonymous also a birther?! Same mentality. How can someone other than an 'Idiot' [sic] dare someone to be "afraid of the truth" of a fictional website?

FYI the owner of the web page is out of Germany - Brownsville's Pan Am bought the rights to the name - there are various ways of saying the name so there are several people who have bought to rights of the various spellings
