Music selection by Nat King Cole and Dean Martin.

Brett Springston and Enrique Escobedo are facing a real pickle.  The question is who will blink first.  But they are both in the doghouse with no clear winner in sight, unless they can find a way to leave the three remaining corrupt women as the fall guys.

An interesting dilemma is, Carlito declared that Ruben Cortez and Springston orchestrated the removal of Al Barbosa from Oliveira so that Ruben's wife could receive a promotion.  It is sheer delusional reasoning - but it is not his.  He was told in advance the game plan on how the corrupt four were going to destroy this innocent woman.  I broke the story with the truth how in fact Escobedo and Montoya were responsible for what happened to Al Barbosa.  here is a shocker - the story has been pulled.  Too late - already printed and sent off to the right people.   Who ordered you to pull it Carlito?

It does not end there - Carlito posted two stories claiming an end to Brett Springston for failing to review Area Superintendents on a timely basis.  He even gave us the code citation.  The TEA is carefully watching how Presas-Garcia and/or Longoria continue to feed this con-artist information.  Shocker - both stories pulled - too late - already printed and sent off to the right people. Who ordered you to pull it Carlito?

Escobedo knows the TEA is all over this.  He knows if they assign a Master to BISD his days of wheeling and dealing are over.  He will no longer have any reason to serve on the BISD Board.  I have well documented his votes for vendors who give him money.  The fact his defenders will not even acknowledge this well documented history along with the million dollar contract for his brother in exchange for rehiring Rendon is all the proof the people of Brownsville need to know it is not about the children.  When they acknowledge Escobedo is a virus, they may have credibility.  Until then their motivation is suspect.

Springston and his lawyers have already documented Presas-Garcia's and Longoria's endless false claims against him.  If they fire him the TEA will reverse based on this evidence.  Escobedo knows this - so what does he do?.  Escobedo went through the ceiling when Carlito released the strategy of removing Springston for failure to review the Area Superintendents on a timely basis.  I suspect the claim is false and was published to just poison the well.  Maybe there is an ounce of truth - but to date all of Presas-Garcia's claims have been false.  Carlito going public with this one - if it is false - may be the death nail for Presas-Garcia.  I simply have no idea if the claim is true or false.  I have no one on the BISD board talking to me - that is what tends to happen when you demand they all resign. I an certain the Area Superintendents gave Presas-Garcia and earful with Escobedo in the background shaking his head in disbelieve how stupid his coconspirators are in their continued cooperation with this felon.

When the real facts come out, I will take a position.

Springston only has two choices - take down the corrupt 4 and be done with it, or cut a deal with Escobedo to save both of their arses.  Either way Escobedo ends up looking bad.  The other corrupt 3 will attack him if he protects Springston.  The question will be, can he defend Springston without totally sending Presas-Garcia off the deep end?  She will certainly attack him on claims of influence peddling.  Of course once she does that she will hang herself.  She is the one who put on the agenda the settlement of the Rendon, Juarez, and Healthsmart lawsuits.  How will she explain her overt role in the mess?  Escobedo was not even challenged in making Presas-Garcia the fall guy.

Springston's other option is to continue to push the TEA into appointing a Master.

From my perspective if Springston is fired it is a win for the people.  You will hear no tears from me.  I have been calling for his dismissal for over a year.  In fact, it was Escobedo and Presas-Garcia who ran cover for him to protect Kathleen Jimenez, the wife of then Escobedo's boss.

If Springston is fired, the TEA will appoint a Master thereby ending the rule of the corrupt four - a clear win for the people.  BISD will be done with a superintendent who cut a deal with the devil, namely Escobedo,  for his own personal advancement.  The bad news will be when the TEA reinstates Springston.  If Springston has a half a brain he will direct his lawyers to have BISD buy out his contract after the TEA reinstates him and allow the Master to oversee a national search for a new superintendent

In the end at this moment both Escobedo and Springston are in the doghouse - the question is can the two of them manipulate the 3 corrupt women in a way to get themselves out of the doghouse, thereby leaving the women holding the fake fears and smelling like shit?  Escobedo and Springston cut a deal once to get where they are at - lets see if they can do it again.

At this point it seems best that the TEA appoints a Master to run the district.

I acciddently delete this so I am copying it from the back-up

The problem with their claims about Springston no doing the evaulations is that a BISD employee is evauluated by their direct supervisor. According to the organization chart the area superintendents report to Ms. Fox. The building principals are evaulated by the area superintendents. The new gang of 4 should learn the procedure before giving out info to the con to print.

Bobby, did Brett evaluate his area superintendents and is it required by law.

Bobby would it be simple if you were to ask the Area Sups if they have been evaluated in 2009 and 2010. That would expose Presas Garcia if Brett did conduct the evaluation we could demand that she resign instead.

Out of curiosity, on a previous article it was mentioned that Presas-Garcia deposited some money from the aquatic center into her personal account. Did this money ever get back to the district?

Bobby, do you think Cata tried to get Item B. 37 a., her reimbursement of legal expenses in the Rodriguez lawsuit, approved by some kind of Holy Acclimation by not discussing it? Maybe a Freudian slip?

Call me naive, call me stupid, but whichever, I am embarrassed to admit that I have a great dilemma. Whom do I believe? I hear so many versions of so many inappropriate alleged behavior by the people I voted for. Was I totally fooled or was it because I wanted to believe, so badly, that BISD children were their major focus? I am totally disappointed with the board member that at one time impressed me as an ethical professional man, and another board member that seemed so real in her focus to clean up what was going on. I am so disappointed that I was deceived with all the promises and lies. I want to hang up my gloves related to my interest in BISD, but I spent too many years trying to make BISD a place we could all be proud of and where our students were our first priority. I am surely glad that I am no longer involved in this "beehive" because I would not be able to take the sting anymore.
Please, board members, I know you read this, understand that you let me down as you did so many others, but especially, you are letting our children down! Shame on you!

Presas-Garcia fails miserably at adhering to these ethical standards.

Sorry for teh late approval of comments. I had business in SA today - just getting in

I have no idea what happened at teh meeting.

I cannot comment on this issue of review of the Area Superintendents because I have no inside information

At this point it may be moot based on what happened at the meeting - but since I did not see it I cannot comment

More tomorrow - I will try and catch a repeat of the meeting

Pat Hammes did a great job of challenging the board to put up or shut up in terms of fiscal responsibility last night!

I wonder what Pat would have said about any complaints concerning insurance at a previous meeting if Escobedo had not had Cata shut him down? Would we have found Cata's claim of "receiving phone calls" about insurance problems totally bogus?

Bobby, where are you going to view the school board meetings now that they removed Channel 17. First the City Commission and now the BISD. Both 12 and 17 are off! Is this to keep us back in the closet?
I guess we will all have to start showing up at the "circus" to learn what else they are trying to stick us with and what else they are doing to use up the little money we will be getting from the state? Help us with this issue, Bobby! They need to be transparent!!!!

I will check on this - the new channel for BISD is in the 300 range - this is just part of pushing everyone into digital

It is just tech moving forward
