It was August 1, 1977, and the doctor decided my mother was suffering from female histeria.  She was moved from intensive care to a regular bed.  The sac around her heart filled with fluid and crushed it.  As they say, the rest is history.

The ignorance in the medical community when it comes to heart disease and women heart disease remains a major threat to women and their families.

"If you're a woman, you may not believe you're as vulnerable to a heart attack as men–but you are. Women account for nearly half of all heart attack deaths. Heart disease is the number one killer of both women and men"

Here is another great information web page on women and heart attacks.  If you love the women in your life you will email my post to them - education can be life.
