FOX NEWS CONTINUES TO PROMOTE RACISM WHILE CONDEMNING REDEMPTION

This story is an example of what happens when the ignorant, and racists take control.  Here are the facts - some 24 years ago before this woman even worked for the government, she found herself trying to help a white farmer in Georgia.  In the end she did in fact help him save his farm.

The point of her story was to show how she went from seeing things in terms of race to in terms of haves and have nots.  Why did Fox hide the truth?  Fox is a  fox.  Fox news is nothing more than a fox guarding the hen house, when it comes to free speech and our freedoms.

She's talked about "his kind." Redemption or not that's wrong kind of thinking for anybody no matter the skin tone. She says she had power to do more but chose not to do more because he was wannabe superior white man. If she didn't do anything wrong, why didn't her boss and Obama support her instead of throwing her to the curb?

Obviously you are not interested in the story. The story she told was 24 years ago.. The point of the story was to show how she was guided by race and it was wrong.

The widow of the white farmer has now been interviewd by CNN and she said they are friends and that this black woman saved the family farm of this white person.

The entire speech was about how her mind set changed at that time 24 years ago and that it was time to put race aside . a message which you seem to find offensive because you want to keep race alive -

and do not tell me you misunderstood - you need to learn the facts before you allow your personal bias to guide your ignorance

There is no bias especially when NAACP and the White House are attacking her. The quote she told the NAACP, "So I didn't give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough."

Now that she resigned, she is saying she did EVERYTHING she could do. Yes, the family's farm was saved because she did "enough." If the widow didn't say they were friends, you'd start screaming they are racist for not being thankful for her help even though she admits she could have done more with "the force of what she could do" with her job.

Do you really believe she only knew one lawyer who happened to be white that could help? Even if she did know just one lawyer, how much force is that? People with a lot of force tend to know more than just one lawyer.

You have mentioned that you NEVER watch Fox. If you had watched Fox, you would have seen two things:

1 - They played the entire context of the speech, including the story you elude to. I watched it myself.

2 - The Department of Agriculture official who resigned Monday over a YouTube clip said the White House forced her out without bothering to hear her side of the story. She said a deputy undersecretary "harassed" her with warnings about the attention she was going to receive after the video surfaced showing her telling a story about how she withheld help to a white farmer in trouble.

Fox News undoubtedly plays to the side of the political spectrum that other outlets do not. However, you know as well as I do that if it was a bush official, the left and likely you, would be screaming for them to resign.

Are all you people drama queens? You people easily jump at the chance to blindly support other minorities or causes without much of a fight. She resigned, and no one in the administration or the N.A.A.C.P. is supporting her. End of story. Spare us the denouement, and get over it.

Not that facts matter to those who celebrate ignorance, but she did go to more than one lawyer - the first white lawyer told the family to just allow for a foreclosure - she then kept on helping them and found a second lawyer.

Further you have no interest in the truth - her comment is not what she did it was what she felt before she realized she was wrong and went full force to help this family - her point was we need to move on beyond race -

but you have interest in the facts

as the the White House and NAACP - they are both allowing the racists to guide the discussion - they took the bait and now look stupid -

I somehow think sooner than later we will see a reversal on this issue.

Why did Fox not tell the entire story? Why did Fox not speak with this woman or the white farmer she helped? Answer such as you it did not fit their racial agenda.

you lie, Fox did not play the entire tape because it was not available -

second you are wrong that I play double standards - I for example defended Trent Lott when he got in trouble over his Jesse Helms comments - I knew enough about Senator Lott to know he is no racist and he was just saying what people say in such moments.

facts matter, but not to racists or the ignorant.

And please I do not want to hear I am defending Obama - I believe my reference to him as a Eunuch says it all.

As a president he is a 100% failure. I do hope after November some Democrat will announce their intent to run against him.

Why is he a failure? He cares more about being a politician than he cares about the country.

It is funny when you say that "YOU LIE"; make syou sound like Joe Wilson.

Seriously, I said they played the entire context of the speech, not the entire speech. They discussed the points of what she was trying to say and played more video than just the excerpts.

They even interviewed her on the air today.

I am not lying, look it up yourself.

Not that facts matter to those who seek to mislead. I have not seen the current story - but after CNN breaks the truth and then Fox goes out and does a complete story does not change the fact the original story was bogus and meant to play to the racists.

Fox got caught and appears now to be trying to play "fair and balanced" That ship sailed when they chose to not do a complete story on the first release

"Not that facts matter"

You are big on facts, so how about the fact that you said "you lie" (when I hadn't) followed by a qualified "I have not seen the current story" and then a justification of how I really had not lied, but you were still correct.

THAT is an interpretation and subjective understanding; not fact.

The first white lawyer you say? So the second lawyer was white too? Oh so she kept going to lawyers who could help their own kind?

This might make your head explode so read with care. In the tape she says she took the white farmer to one of their own. Guess what? The widow claims Sherrod sent them to a black lawyer first. So did Sherrod lie in the story on tape about sending them to one of their own or is she lying now about the white lawyer not helping the white farmer? Seems like the black lawyer didn't want to help them either.

Although you want to say she is past race and people that watch Fox News are the racists, Sherrod says in the tape, "It is about white and black" for her. This even after she talks about class and poverty. It was about race in 1986. It is about race in 2009 when she was videotaped.

I am watching Fox, as I write, playing the entire tape of her 24 year old statement (NAACP had it in their files) and the summary that 'the administration made her drive to the side of the road and resign immediately.'
Fox asserted that the message of the tape was that it was how she learned that her job was to help the disadvantaged not just the blacks or whites.
The administration is looking really inept.

(The administration is looking really inept.)

Say Fred, how about the administration assumed she was white because of the name "Sherrod". Been around, but this is the first time I have seen a black person with that last name. Just thinking it was assumed she was white and automatically mistook her for being a white racist. And said "fire her".

two issues, earelier in the day I rejected a comment which attack a poster with insults - yea not going to happen in the BV

Ren, stretch is an understatement - this video was everywhere when the decision came down - also why would a white person say they did not help a white farmer?
