“CRY ME A RIVER GONZALES” LOSES ALL CREDIBILITY

Susan Boyle provides today’s musical number

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8r9lRJ6yHY

I am convinced for the people of Brownsville who watched Gonzales in his pathetic speech to the BISD Board, they saw a pathetic man in complete denial and unapologetic for his wrong doings. He outright refused to tell the people why he thinks he was fired. If he thinks it was because of some campaign picture, then he needs to hire a good criminal defense attorney now to take his new attorneys to the grand jury on a referral for highway robbery. If you have the money and the stupidity to pay the lawyers, I know one who will go to court to have God declared a mass psychotic disorder. There is only one rule among attorneys, “If you got the money, we got the argument.” I hope Gonzales is using his own money on this case, because then there may be justice in his bankruptcy.

What kind of weasel goes before the public and uses vague innuendo to accuse unnamed Board Members of wrongdoing? Hector Gonzales that’s who. At this point in the venture I must now conclude Hector Gonzales was fired for one reason and one reason only, he was incompetent. He had an opportunity to tell the truth on camera with the people of Brownsville watching, he had nothing - absolutely nothing. I want the truth. I know this Board to a person is corrupt. But the people will never know the truth so long as people like Hector Gonzales use the process for his own ends. He has needlessly divided Brownsville and for this crime he should be exiled for ever.

I am beginning to think Gonzales contrived the Joe Rod issue as a Hooverized defense mechanism. It did not work. It may have been the final nail in his coffin. It is like I have said over and over again - it had nothing to do with the insurance contract. Gonzales himself admitted that long before the election, in 2008, he was told he was toast. Long before the insurance contract.

If Gonzales truly believed in serving anyone but himself he would have told the people the truth as to why he was fired. If the truth is what he said, then a federal judge will look his attorneys in the face and say “what did you say Willis” Until Gonzales is willing to give the people the complete story, he will remain in the eyes of the people a fool who serves himself and noone else.

Hector Gonzales was a disaster as the interim the first time around and he hasn't improved since then at all. He many times stated both in board meetings and and small group meetings "I don't agree with that and BISD will not do it" He is and was an I person. He only did what he wanted or what was best for him. Many of his sentences started with I. Good ridance. I hope more see the light it wasn't about the insurance contract. Cavazos wins big some year small some years but it is because of the what a group promises not because of pay offs. Arnie Olivares was never able to get anywhere in BISD because he was and is corrupt. He is still waiting for his sentencing but still selling insurance strange.

I was hesitant to approve this comment because of the reference to Arnie Olivares. ut it appeas based on the below story. If anyone has a verfiable update on the criminal charges I will certainly post them.

I saw his short speech and my family and I were in tears because he humbled himself in such a passionate way.

I felt towards him the way I feel towards street beggers because a person won't humble themselves that way(in my opinion) if they are not desperate for help.

I wish him and his family good luck and tidings especially during this season of sharing and caring.

There is so much hate in this world and it saddens me to read so much judgement being cast by us---sinners.

The man needs our prayers so he doesn't become bitter and hateful in spite of so many ill feelings directed towards him.

I'm sorry if I have offended anyone but I needed to say what is in our family's hearts.

GOD BLESS US ALL.

I agree he came off as desperately in need of help - but he was not humble - he knows his failures over special services - his continued refusal to even admit to his mistakes is what hurts him.

I truly believe he is clueless about what happened.

When will his supporters ask about the families who were denied services under his leadership?

Until he shows sorrow for his actions, nothing he says interests me - hate is when you have no basis to challenge person - the evidence of his failure over special services is overwhelming - unfortunately the Board is now covering for Springston -

when just when will people speak out for the children instead of all the adults who failed the children?

Bobby,
I have lived here all my life and I know that special needs children have ALWAYS been denied due process. It is nothing new but it has ALWAYS been swept under the rug.
Mr. Gonzales should not be held responsible for so many years of neglect. He should only be held responsible for what happened during his term.

Why don't we demand answers from others before him? I think there are too many phony people pretending to do what is right but really have personal agendas that have become very transparent.

There have been many sincere people that have spoken for these children and never sought the limelight because they did it from the heart. I will not mention names because they may not like it but they DO exist.

I won't credit him with dividing Brownsville because that is giving him too much power and Godlike.

Our district will come back together for the benefit of ALL children and they will ALL prosper.

We need to stop fighting and second guessing each other for the future of our children. We also need to stop filing lawsuits for every little disagreement.

For sure long before Gonzales was in charge the problem existed. i have outlined the nature of the statewide problem. he made it worse by making the political appointment of Rendon. he continues to even acknowledge the problem.

there is no reason for anyone to feel sorry for him. Again when is someone going to speak out for the families and children.

It is a statewide problem which no one cares about.

"I truly believe he is clueless about what happened ."

Well if he is clueless how can he be held accountable at the same time? I am trying to understand all the rant directed against only one person when there are others (parents, administrators, principals, teachers) who could have picked up the phone and reported wrongdoings.

I know for a fact that there are many competent people at special services who are not shy about speaking out.

I also think the majority of special needs children are now being well served because of dedicated staff. I think many people care about these children but the parents should be the ones who should demand answers when they are not getting the results they need.

Caring parents make the difference!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a parent of 5 children (yes 5 children and never under goverment assistance) 2 of whom are receiving services from Special Ed. we strongly SUPPORT Mr. Gonzalez. He did many great things for BISD under his leadership, one of them was BECHS. Mr. Gonzalez if you read this, please know that we support you and you are in our prayers. You are a brave man!

I have spoken out against Gonzales, rendon, Springston, Jimenez, teh entire Board with specific complaints against Colunga - I have prasied Susan Yakel, by title not by name - I know know her name.

Any parent I work with must take the lead otherwise I will not help.

The excuses have to stop - Kathleen Jimenez was a political appointment - plain and simple -

exactly when will any post a comment and talk about the victimized children?

I grow endlessly bored with people who want to blame everyone but their friend. It is time an outsider is brought in as Superintendent, and and the head of special services - until then let's be honest - Special services will continue to abuse the children.

A lot of insideres complained that under Gonzales the good people were chased off or just stopped caring. The same is happening under kathleen Jimenez - tehre are good people in shock that after everything which happened under Rendon's political appointment they would go with yet another politicsl appointment

The majority of people who work for BISD are good caring people.

Prove of this is that the district continues to run smoothly in spite of so much confusion caused by the corrupt school board. Our children are in good hands. We need to place trust and confidence in our school personel who only want the best.

There ARE a few bad apples but they usually self-destruct.

Mr. Gonzales has many supporters from the community. We believe in him and understand that he is human and may have made mistakes but we are not the ones who should be judging him.

I agree he is a brave man to go before his accusers on live TV. He really touched my heart.

Special services will go forward and do great things for these children.

PARENTS STAY INVOLVED.

there are good people - but they are afraid - how do the good people in Special Services go to Springston and talk about kathleen Jimenez's lack of competency when they know she was a political hire of Springston? they cannot.

there are good people with great ideas on how to move special services forward - but to a person they live in fear - they know this Board will turn a blind eye to any reassignments which are based on retaliation for speaking out against Jimenez.

Until people are willing to admit that Special Services under both Gonzales and Springston have been and continue to be political there is nothing which is going to change

It is my humble opinion that people perform best when there is controversy involved and I think this is what is happening in BISD.

The Indians are proving to the chiefs that they are capable of running the district without their leadership. The schools continue to prosper and our students continue to shine.

Maybe a superintendent or school board aren't even needed. We shouldn't hold these people in such high regard because they are only human and usually self detruct.

Special services will do alright and continue to do the best for these children and their families.

I agree he sounded desperate, but humble, I don't think he has that word in his vocabulary. When all is said and done, the charges and evidence against him has proven the type of person he is and will always be. I hope he is using his own money in his campaign for...Just exactly what the hell is it he is trying to accomplish with all the Hogwash?

I agree with the first response I read with Hector it was all about me. I sat with him also in large groups and small groups when he was the interim and every other word was I or me. It was never about the district as a whole. Needless to say, our organization only met with him a couple of times when he was the interim superintendent.

tahnks Pop - to be very honest I was just to lazy to look up the correct quote - I now have it for future use.

i love Pop culture. Sometimes at night I watch the Nanny as I wait to fall asleep and I think of all of her refeences to Pop culture from times gone by - how sad sooner than later there will be several generations who will not get the jokes.
