I am running late for a meeting at BISD, so I will not be able to do a regular post. Everyone needs to be patient with the BV right now. Apparently to get my IE to work properly, for publishing comments, I need to reload the drives for the mouse and keyboard.

Yesterday I choose to reject several posts because they got into comments about sex, wives, you name it. I will also not post comments which accuse people of criminal conduct, unless I have personally reviewed the evidence.

This morning I received the following statement from Charlie Atkinson.

Well apparently to copy and paste are not working either. He stated that he has never been to a BCVB meeting. This is something which is 100% verfiable as truth or fiction.

I think this little civil war is hurting the commission and the City of Brownsville. But politicians will be politicians.

As I tried to make clear yesterday, every politician has conflicts of interest, the question is, are they being paid directly for their votes? If you serve in elective office, I do not care who you are, but indirectly either you or your friends are making money based on your actions. This is unavoidable.

It is like the question what came first - the chicken or the egg. Did I vote for you because you support the weir project, or did you decide to all of a sudden support the weir project because it means money in your pocket? I prefer to believe the former about most politicos. So the question is, if they run for office because they support the weir project, but after getting elected learn their friends or family will make money on the weir project, should they abstain from voting on the issue? No, they should not. Those of us who voted for the politico based on the weir issue expect them to vote, indirect conflict of interest or not.

Commissioner Atkinson is on the CVB board of directors.

Off topic-

The first rule of litigation is to never ask a question you don't know the answer to.

Your President, who is a Harvard trained lawyer, goes to Europe to bring the Olympics to Chicago! He is rejected by the Olympics. (Which is understandable considering the pandora's box that could open).

So, he leverages his own personal reputation, the reputation of the office that he holds and frankly, the reputation of the United States to get something and he is denied.

Humiliating and totally denegrating to the Office.

Why did it take this long for someone other than the mayor to finally push back with Charlie?

"Commissioner Atkinson is on the CVB board of directors."

Someone please clue GTC in on the fact that "ex oficio" is Latin for "From the office" not "Out of Office".

That'll come later.

I need to clarify what Charlie Atkinson said in his e-mail - sorry but I still cannot copy and paste -

he said such as Isaid, he has never been to a BCVB meeting. I did not say he said he was on part of BCVB. he admitted to this. I chose the language I chose because if he has never been to a meeting, how could he have acted in a way which forms a conflict of interests?

Oh, my BISD meeting went well - I will not discuss the meeting in the BV, but I will discuss concepts generally as part of a larger post on Monday.

Are your antiviruses up-to-date? Because quite frankly it sounds like a poorly written keylogger to me. Does the mouse cursor ever just move a little bit on its own?

The first thing I did was reinstall the McAfee. I do not open e-mail or go behond my home page.

I think someone is trying to help you with your computer issues, but you won't answer their questions.
