"Can we continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh?" Powell asked. "Is this really the kind of party that we want to be when these kinds of spokespersons seem to appeal to our lesser instincts rather than our better instincts?"

I Am sure Rush will have a hay day with Powell today. Rush, Hannity, Beck, O’Reilly, Col. Ray and the rest of these morons know that times are changing. Just last week Rush was complaining about a report which shows advertising dollars are down for Reputrican talk radio. He basically was saying it is just the Flyby Media spinning the numbers.

All this week he has been arguing that if Congress would just allow the big three to make gas guzzler 8 cylinder trucks and SUVs everything would be fine. Rush is so far in denial about the direction of this country and reality he must be banging his head against the wall before and after his daily show.

Former Republican Senator Trent Lott, called on the people to stop listening to Reputrican talk radio after the Immigration Reform Bill failed. You see even right wing Republicans like former Senator Trent Lott understood that if you try and take 10 million people out of the US economy you will destroy the housing industry, and the economy.

I was talking to a family member yesterday about her husband. It was funny because she was saying it has reached the point that all he does is repeat Rush and Hannity as the absolute truth. Her words were - "he cannot think for himself." I have made this point before. The only reason a Progressive type talk radio has not succeeded is because progressives tend to think for themselves, and those who honor Reputrican talk radio are incapable of independent critical thinking.

The next 4 years could be interesting. The Republican Party is in the midst of a civil war. Reputrican talk radio is caught in the middle of the Republican Civil War. While the two fight it out, Dems should have a free hand to do as they please. The down side will be if the Dems fail, they will have no one but themselves to blame for their failure.
