A SPECIAL POST FROM A SPECIAL PARENT

"We have a handicap child confined to a wheelchair. Part of his recommended therapy for independent living is to travel on his own. Unfortunately, but to no avail,we've been trying to get the BUS service out to Rio Del Sol ever since annexation over ten years ago.Same ole run a round. I hear a different excuse every year.

signed,instant karma"

Issue centrism is when a politico only sees issues which relate directly to them or the handlers who keep them in power. It can be so bad that a politico can be calling for a sidewalk for their kid in a wheelchair, while ignoring the same needs of the kid around the block.

I think this is exactly what we have in this case.

Mr. Bobby-WC
Thanks for posting my rant regarding our special-needs son. It makes no difference should we move forward or not. We've learned to take it as it comes and be happy with what we have. Not to say that we've given up. My sweetie is teacher and I'm a jailer so we can make a contribution to the community. We want to see Brownsville move forward and want to see our children be part of that movement. We want to see our kids winning
at chess and soccer, we want parks and swimming pools, beautiful trees and plants and trails and access to all Brownsville has to offer.

THERE IS MORE PRIDE IN THE VALLEY.....AND POTENTIAL,

than in any place in the valley.... I think our present leaders can lead us there, right now...
