ROOSEVELT HUNTING ELEPHANT

MY PERSONAL VIEW IS, IF THE CITY OF BROWNSVILLE HAS AN OUNCE OF HUMANITY LEFT IN IT, IT WILL DONATE THE ANIMALS TO SAN ANTONIO, AND TURN THE ZOO INTO AN EXHIBIT OF CURRENT AND FORMER POLITICIANS

The following was originally posted by J Montoya on Sanchez's web page. I found it interesting because I thought maybe I was just being too me, when during a resent visit to the zoo I was ashamed to have it associated with Brownsville. Based on this commentary maybe my impression of the zoo was correct. Montoya thanks for bringing the issue forward.

One exhibit smelled so bad we could not get anywhere near it. The gorilla exhibit was so shameful I felt like yelling out "FREEDOM" - The lion and tiger exhibit is so shameful I was thinking why not sum up the ghost of Teddy Roosevelt to put them out of their misery.

I was truly embarrassed to take my visiting family members to the zoo. My personal view is, if the city has an ounce of humanity left in it, it will donate the animals to San Antonio, and turn the zoo into an exhibit of current and former politicians and board members. It might then have some humane purpose.
